통합 교과적 접근을 통한 초등학교 녹색교육 내용 개발 방안

국문 초록

본 연구는 지속가능한 미래사회를 구현하기 위하여 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 내용이 초등교육과정에 어떻게 접목되고 있는지를 분석하고, 초등학교에서 이러한 교육내용이 적용될 수 있도록 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 지속가능한 발전교육, 저탄소 녹색성장 내용 및 2007 초등교육과정에 대하여 문헌연구와 조사연구를 통하여 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 초등학교 교육과정에서 ‘실과’를 중심으로 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 내용을 통합적으로 접목시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 분석된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 내용은 초등교육에 ‘환경’, ‘생활’, ‘경제’, ‘기술’의 영역으로 나뉘어서 접목할 수 있으며, 2007 교육과정의 국민공통기본교육과정 10개 교과목 중 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 내용을 많이 포함하고 있는 교과는 ‘실과’, ‘사회’, ‘과학’, ‘도덕’, ‘국어’ 이다. 둘째, 초등학교 학교현장에서 바람직한 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 교육내용이 실과, 사회, 과학, 도덕, 국어 교과목의 특성에 맞게 구성되어야 한다. 그리고 환경을 위한 교육의 관점에서 ‘환경보전’만을 강조하거나 ‘경제발전’의 중요성만을 우선시하여 어느 한쪽으로 치우치는 것을경계하고, 여러 가지 환경문제 해결을 위하여 환경, 경제, 사회, 기술의 내용상에 현실성과 형평성이 고려되어야 한다. 셋째, 광범위한 저탄소 녹색성장 관련 내용을 학교교육에 접목시키는 방안으로 ‘실과’를 중심으로 ‘과학’, ‘국어’, ‘도덕’, ‘사회’ 교과에 관련한 내용요소를 통합적으로 접목하는 것이 최적의 방법이라고 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate on how to graft the low carbon green growth-related contents in elementary school curriculum to realize the sustainable future society, and to suggest the guidance plans to progress the desirable direction for such education contents in elementary school. The study was carried out through literature review and survey research on education for sustainable development, low carbon green growth-related contents and 2007 national curriculum to present the plan for low carbon green growth-related contents in elementary curriculum around Practical Arts. The results of this study were as follows : First, low carbon green growth-related contents can be introduced as environment, economy and technology in elementary education. And Practical Arts, Social Science, Science, Morality and Korean included mainly the low carbon green growth-related contents in 2007 national curriculum. Second, to accomplish the desirable low carbon green growth-related education in the elementary school, the contents organized so as to have a character congenial to subjects. And, in the education for the environment point of view, the education should be unbiased to one side in either environment conservation or economy growth, and the contents on environment, economy, social and technology considered for reality and equity to solve the several environmental problems. Third, the best way to introduce the low carbon green growth-related contents in elementary school curriculum synthetically is to graft around the Practical Arts subject on the contents related to Social Science, Science, Morality and Korean since the extensive contents of low carbon green growth.
