국문 초록

이 글은 남한과 북한이 반세기 이상 분단 상태를 유지하고 있는 상태에서 북한이 독자적으로 발전시켜온 음악 연주형태 중 현재 중앙에서 활동하는 음악단체들의 민족악기 편성 양상을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 은하수관현악단의 2011년 2월과 2012년 3월의 파리공연, 그리고 민족관현악과 부분배합편성의 형태를 볼 수 있는 조선인민내무군협주단의 2013년의 4월과 9월 공연, 마지막으로 김정은의 세습이후 2012년에 창단된 모란봉악단의 2014년 9월 <신작음악회>를 살펴보았다. 은하수관현악단은 전면배합관현악편성으로 연주하였으며, 양악기와의 민족음악연주가 전혀 어색하지 않은 연주기술을 보여주었다. 그리고 조선인민내무군협주단 역시 전면배합관현악편성이 보이기는 하였으나 은하수관현악단의 것과 민족악기의 위치가 달랐다. 조선인민내무군협주단의 공연에서는 이 외에 소규모의 민족관현악편성과 배합편성이 있었는데 모두 아코디언을 넣어 화성을 표현하였으며, 민족죽관악기와 하모니카를 결합하여 화성이 표현되면서도 민족적인 흥취를 느낄 수 있게 하였다. 마지막으로 전자음악 악단인 모란봉악단이 연주하는 민요풍의 노래에서 전자악기로 형상하는 민요의 음조도 그렇지만 전자악기에 꽹과리를 편성하여 민족적 정서를 표현하고 있었다. 북한에서 기본적으로 민족적 형식에 현대적미감과 인민성을 추구하기 위하여 배합편성을 추구하고 있으나 민족음악에서 화성을 표현하기 위한 방편이었던 것을 알 수 있으며, 민족적 형식과 현대적 미감, 그리고 인민성은 북한의 정치적 의도와 맞물리며 향후 지속적으로 중앙 음악단체는 악기편성에서 화성을 위한 배합편성을 지향할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

This article has a purpose to look into the orchestration of the national music instruments in the music organizations that are performing in the capital of North Korea. South Korea and the North Korea have been divided more than 50 years, and these organizations we are targeting are showing the original form of music of North Korea. To do this research, we examined the Paris concert of Eunhasu(Milky-way) Orchestra in February 2011 and March 2012, the concert of the Chosun People s Military Ensemble in April and September 2013, which show the ethnic orchestra and a part-mixed organizing, and lastly the of the Moranbong band in September 2014. The Moranbong band was established after the succession of Kim Jongeun in 2012. Eunhasu Orchestra played with the entire-mixed orchestration, and showed a performance technique that makes the western music instruments in the traditional music sounds not at all awkward. Also Chosun People s Military Ensemble displayed the entire-mixed orchestration, but different from that of Eunhasu Orchestra in the positions of the traditional music instruments. Besides this mix, at the concert of Chosun People s Military Ensemble, there were small traditional orchestration and the part-mixed orchestration. Both of them expressed the harmony with accordion, and combined the traditional bamboo musical instruments with harmonica presenting the harmony and the ethnic taste. Lastly, the electrical music band, Moranbong band is presenting the ethnic, traditional sentiment through the folk song scale in the songs, which are also minyo(folksong)-style song with the electrical instruments, and also presenting through adding the kwaenggwari with other electrical music instruments. In North Korea, the music groups are pursuing the mixed-orchestration to achieve the traditional form, the modern sense of beauty, and the popularity at the same time, but it can be told as a way of presenting the harmony in traditional music.
