사회 네트워크 분석을 활용한 초등학생 친구 네트워크 하위그룹 식별과 학업도움 네트워크 형성 요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회 네트워크 분석의 통계적 기법을 활용하여 초등학생 친구 네트워크의 하위그룹을 식별하고, 이들의 학업도움 네트워크 형성 요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 이에 첫째, 초등학생의 친구네트워크와 학업도움 네트워크를 2015년 1학기(N=273)와 2학기(N=259)에 측정하였다. 둘째, 친구 네트워크를 기반으로 친한 친구 하위그룹을 Frank(1995)의 기법을 사용하여 식별하였고, 이를 시각화 하였다. 셋째, 사회선택 모형인 p2 모형을 적용하여 사전 학업도움 네트워크와 성별을 통제한 상태에서 학업도움 네트워크의 형성에 형식적․비형식적 조직, 성취목표, 학업성취도가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 우선, 친한 친구 하위그룹 식별 결과, 초등학생들의 하위그룹은 주로 같은 성별인 학생들로 구성되어 있었으나, 같은 반 여부는 학년에 따라 조금씩 다른 양상을 보였다. 다음으로 학업도움 네트워크 형성요인 분석 결과, 첫째, 형식적 조직인 같은 반과 비형식적 조직인 친한 친구 하위그룹은 모두 학업도움 네트워크 형성에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 동일한 친한 친구 하위그룹의 소속 여부(비형식적조직)가 같은 반 소속 여부(형식적 조직)보다 학업도움 네트워크 형성에 미치는 상대적인 영향력이 더큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학업도움 제공자와 수혜자의 학업수행접근목표 차이는 학업도움 네트워크형성에 정적으로 유의한 영향을, 사회숙달목표는 학업도움 제공에 정적인 영향을, 사회수행접근목표는 학업도움 제공에는 부적인 영향을, 그리고 학업도움 수혜에 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학업도움 네트워크 형성에 학업성취도의 유유상종효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is identifying cohesive subgroups of elementary school students s friendship networks and to explore the effects of achievement goals, academic achievement, formal and informal organizations on elementary school students’ academic help networks formation using social network analysis. Specifically, we measured elementary school students’ friendship networks and academic help networks in Gyeonggi province in Spirng(N=273) and Fall(N=259) 2015. Second, we identified cohesive subgroups based on elementary school students’ close friends network and presented sociograms with explanation. Third, we analyzed the effects of formal and informal organizations, achievement goals, academic achievement on academic help networks formation after controlling for gender using p2 models. Firstly, the results of identifying cohesive subgroups indicated that cohesive subgroups consisted of same gender in general, but showed different aspects by grade. Secondly, the results of multilevel p2 models indicated that formal organization(classrooms) and informal organization(cohesive subgroups) were statistically significant and positively related to academic help network formation. Additionally, social mastery goals was statistically positively related to providing academic help, while social performance approach goals was statistically negatively related to providing academic help and social performance approach goals was statistically positively related to receiving academic help. Finally, there was homophily effect of academic achievement on academic help network formation.
