신석기시대 서울·경기·인천지역 출토 간석기에 대한 연구

국문 초록

이 글은 신석 기시대 서울·경기·인천지역의 유적 중 최근 발굴 조사된 유적에서 출토된 석기 유물을 생업활동의 관점에서 출토현황과 함께 고찰한 것이다. 그 결과 신석기시대 중서부지역에서 채용된 석기제작 기술은 떼기 기술과 갈기 수법 이었다. 그러나 이 지역에서 출토된 석기들은 대부분 완성된 형태의 석기 들이며 석기 제작터가 발견되지 않아 제작과정 등을 밝힐 수 있는 구체적인 사항을 찾아내기는 힘이 들었다. 분석된 자료를 통하여 석기의 용도별 분류를 해보면 이 지역에서는 농경보다는 수렵·어로·채집 등이 더 활발히 진행되었을 것으로 판단되었다. 향후 이 지역 신석 기시대 석기연구의 연구방향은 제작방법 복원, 돌감 산지 분석, 쓴자국 분석, 짐승사냥 등 사냥 방법 복원, 후기구석기에서 신석기 시대 이행기의 석기 제작방법 변화, 신석기시대에서 청동기시대 이행기의 석기 형식과 제작방식의 변화, 러시아 연해주, 중국 동북지방 출토 석기의 비교가 필요하다고 판단된다. 신석기시대에 채용된 석기제작 방법은 떼기와 갈기를 혼용한 기술이 이용되었으나 물갈이 수법이 이 시기에 바로 채용되었는가는 좀 더 연구와 관찰이 필요하다고 판단된다. 향후 확장된 연구를 위해서는 서울·경기·인천지역의 좀 더 많은 신석기유적이 조사되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is focused on stone tools related to living activities in the Neolithic Age. The stone implements were excavated recently in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon area. As a result, during the Neolithic Age, techniques of making stone tools in midwestem region of Korea, were mostly chipping and grinding. However, the majority of excavated stone tools around these areas were completed in its shape but there were no sign of workshop sites which enable us to understand the specific procedure of the manufacturing stone implements. According to the analyzed materials classified into their usage, in these areas, hunting, fishing and gathering were more actively done than primitive farming cultivation. Hereafter, the research about Neolithic stone implements found in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon region should be focused on three following themes : firstly, restoration of hunting methods through studies of reconstruction of manufacturing stone tools, analysis of places where raw materials of stone tools came from, its original production area, analysis of tools traces and marks while using and animal hunting. Secondly, transition of stone tool producing methods from the late Paleolithic Age to Neolithic Era. Thirdly, changes of manufacturing styles and structures of stone implements from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze period. Finally, comparison of stone tools between the Maritime Province of Siberia and that from northeast region of China are necessary. Grinding and chipping were the main methods to make stone tools in the Neolithic Age. However, there need to be some more researches on applying water-grinding skill to make stone tools during this era. For expansion of studies one stone tools, more sites of the Neolithic Age in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon area should be excavated.
