국문 초록

이 논문은 한반도 신석기시대 조기(B.C.6,000년~B.C.4,500년)로 편년되는 융기문토기를 연구한 것이다. 먼저 융기문토기의 시간성 파악을 위하여 연구 대상 유적에서 확인된 2,150점의 융기문양들을 문양요소, 문양형태, 문양대에 따라 속성을 도출하였으며, 이 속성의 조합에 따라 문양구성, 문양군으로의 형식과 유형을 설정하였다. 설정된 유형과 형식은 다시 융대문의 시문기법, 횡대문의 연속성 유무 등 개별문양의 제작기법에 따라 세별유형과 세별형식(문양변이)으로 설정하였다. 이렇게 설정된 형식에 대한 시간성 검증은 안정적인 시간성을 부여할 수 있는 유적들의 층위검토, 토기에 부착된 탄화물을 통해서 얻은 AMS연대 검토 등을 적극적으로 활용하였다. 특히 이 편년안은 문양의 장기형식과 단기형식을 구분하여 문양의 발생순서와 존속기간에 따라 시간성을 부여한 것으로 최근에 발굴조사된 자료들을 설명하는데 있어서 기존의 단계적 편년안보다 더 유효한 방법이라고 생각한다. 각 세별 형식(문양변이)들은 발생순서에 따라 총 7개의 형식군이 설정되었는데, 시간의 흐름에 따른 문양 변화의 획기에 따라 총 5개의 단계를 설정할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study is on Raised-Design Ware in tthe initial period of Neolithic Age in the Korean peninsula(B.C.6,000~4,500). Firstly, to figure out time of Raised-Design Ware, the pattern attributes were extracted amount 2,150 patterns by pattern factor, pattern shape and pattern zone. Such was set by pattern structure and pattern group according to the combination of pattern attributes. The set category and type was set as specific category and specific type(pattern variation) according to the manufacturing methods including engraving method of Yunggi pattern and consecution of horizontal pattern. The verification of time over such types was made by layer examination, AMS aging review obtained by carbide on a pottery. In particular, such chronology measurement was to give the nature of time to pattern occurrence order and duration period by classifying the long type and short type pattern. Thus, it seems more effective in explaining recently excavated resources compared with the existing stage-based chronology method. The specific type(pattern variation) was set to 7 groups according to the occurrence order. It could set 5 stages according to the apparent pattern change point.
