영문 초록

In urban planning‘ center identification has been one of the most important subjects in telTIlS of urban growth management and effiκ ency. Therefore, many studies have investigated more accurate and efficient methy in order to identify the urban center 5uch as emp!oyment density, networ‘ concentration density and land price gradient They have used the admin i sative bounry as the spatial analysis unil ~ause almost all dala are collected by it. However, it has serious limitation in detectin the accurate boun of urban center because it is πstricted within the existing administrative unil boundary. This study suggests the Density- Based Cluslering (DENCLUE) meth떠 as the altemative which identifies more accurate urban center boundary. We examined pros and cons of DENCLUE method on the Gangnam subcenter identification with 9-Dong employment data. The results showed that DENCLUE can improve the accuracy of center identification and expectation power abαlt future growth of center. ln fact, 미e cent.er identification results by DENCLUE are significant1y different (rom those by the exìsting methcxls which use administrative uniL
