영문 초록

This study ana1yzes regiona1 income determÏnation using a five year panel of 163 Korean cities and counties for the year of 1998-2002. Empirica1 results show that a11 the variables representing agglomeration econornies, infrastructure and financia1 deepening have significant and great impacts on regiona1 income. The number of patent application, which represents regiona1 innovation activities, has significant and great impact on regiona1 growth, but human capita1 has only margina1 significance. For other variables, the share of agriculture has negative significant effect on regiona1 income, and both the number of private institutes and that of travel companies have positive significant impact a10ng with the share of tertiary sector.
