제2차 바티칸 공의회 이후 로마 가톨릭교회의 에큐메니즘과 에큐메니컬 운동에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 제2차 바티칸 공의회 이후 로마 가톨릭교회의 에큐메니즘과 에큐메니컬 운동을 WCC 중심의 에큐메니컬 운동, 특히 ‘신앙과 직제’ 운동에 비추어서 논구하는 데에 있다. 그래서 우선 이 글은 첫째로 WCC의 기원과 역사를 통하여 로마 가톨릭교회가 언제부터 어떻게 WCC 중심의 에큐메니컬 운동에 동참하게 되었는지 논하였고, 둘째로는 로마 가톨릭교회가 ‘신앙과 직제’ 운동에 어떻게 기여하였나를 논구하였다. 셋째로 제2차 바티칸 공의회의 「교회헌장」(1964)과 「일치교령」(1964)에 나타난 에큐메니컬 신학을 제시함으로써, 로마 가톨릭교회의 비로마 가톨릭교회들과의 에큐메니즘에 대한 입장과 태도를 밝히고, 네 번째로는 ‘신앙과 직제’와 ‘삶과 봉사’의 합류에 비추어서 「하나 되게 하소서」(1995)의 역사적 의미를 규명하였다. 그리고 끝으로 ‘신앙과 직제’의 일치 추구의 역사에 비추어서 향후 로마 가톨릭교회와 개신교의 일치 추구의 모델을 제시해 보았고, 결론 부분에서 로마 가톨릭교회와 정교회와 성공회와 개신교회들이 코이노니아 속에서 다양성 혹은 다양성 속에서 코이노니아를 추구하면서 신자유쥬의의 지구화 시대에 직면하게 되는 제반 문제들에 함께 대처해 나갈 것을 촉구하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this article is to investigate the ecumenism and ecumenical movement of the Roman Catholic Church ever since the second Vatican Council(1962~1965) in the light of the Faith Order movement of the World Council of Churches. Therefore, firstly this article studies on when and how the Catholic Church began to take part in the ecumenical movement of the WCC while setting forth about the origin and history of the WCC. Secondly, it indicates the encounter between the Catholic Church and the Faith and Order while tracing back to the Catholic Church’s contribution to the Faith and Order movement. Thirdly, this article accounts for the Catholic Church’s theological principles on ecumenism and also its attitude towards the ecumenical movement of the non-Catholic churches by means of analyzing the texts of the Lumen Gentium(1964) and Unitatis Reintegratio(1964). Fourthly, it made an attempt to express a historical significance of the Ut Unum Sint(1995) with reference to the merging of the Faith and Order, and, the Life and Work. Lastly, it suggests something about the unity-model between the Catholic Church and the Protestant Churches in the light of the history of the Faith and Order movement. And in concluding part, this article calls for the intensive and extensive ‘koinonia in diversity’ or ‘diversity in koinonia’ between the Catholic Church and the non-Catholic churches in order to solve the problems of the global economic apartheid and its attendant destruction of the ecological environment as results of the globalization of the neo-liberalism.
