한국어 학습 영향 요인들의 상관관계 분석

국문 초록

2013년 교육부(http://meo.go.kr)가 발표한 국내 거주 외국인 유학생 자료에 따르면 총 외국인 유학생의 수는 85,923명으로 집계되었으며 그중 중국인 유학생 수의 비율이 58.6%를 차지하고 있다. 이 통계 결과는 중국인 유학생에 대한 관심과 연구가 다양한 분야와 관점에서 이루어져야 함을 보여주는 자료가 된다. 본 연구는 한국어를 배우는 중국인 학습자를 대상으로 쓰기 능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 후 효과적인 쓰기 교육 방안을 제안하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 학습자들의 한국어 수행능력에 영향을 미치는 독립변인으로 나이·성별·전공·한국어 학습기간을 설정하고 각 변인과 학습의 관계를 객관적인 분석 수치로 제시하였다. 또한 이를 토대로 중국인 학습자들의 한국어 쓰기 방안을 구체적으로 뒷받침할 수 있는 이론적 틀을 마련한 것은 이전 연구들과는 차별되는 의의가 있다. 1장은 중국인 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 하는 본 연구의 목적 및 필요성을 제시하고 선행연구를 제시하였다. 2장에서는 본 연구의 연구모형을 중심으로 연구의 조사대상 및 방법, 자료처리 과정을 설명하였다. 3장에서는 조사 결과를 분석하여 연구변인들의 분류변수별 차이를 살펴보고 연구 문제를 검증하였다. 4장에서는 연구결과를 고찰하여 중국인 학습자들을 위한 한국어 쓰기교육의 효율적 방안을 제시하였다. 이러한 객관적인 자료 분석의 결과와 연구의 시사적인 의의에도 불구하고 표본의 한계와 학생의 개별적인 특성과 수행능력이 제한되었다는 점은 아쉬움으로 남는다. 하지만 본 연구가 이후에 진행될 중국인 학습자를 위한 한국어 교육 연구에 유익한 자료를 제시하고 외국어로서의 한국어 쓰기 교육 과정을 설계하고 교수하는 교사들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되는 연구 자료로 남길 바란다. 본 연구는 성별, 나이, 전공, 한국어 학습기간, 한국어 공부 목적 분류 변수에 따른 각 문항들의 응답 분포를 분석함으로서 분류 변수별로 연구 변인들의 차이가 있는지를 분석함으로써 외국어로 중국인 학습자들의 쓰기에서 나타나는 현황에 대한 구체적인 자료를 제시함으로써 중국인 한국어 학습자의 쓰기 능력 향상을 위한 교육 연구 방안을 모색하기 위한 것이다. 이 연구가 중국인 학습자들의 한국어 쓰기 학습에 기초적인 자료가 되길 바라며 ,앞으로 한국어 쓰기 교육에 대해 더 많은 연구가 이루어지는 긍정적 계기가 되기를 바란다.

영문 초록

According to statistics on foreigner students in Korea published by the Ministry of Education (http://meo.go.kr) in 2013, the total number of foreigner students in Korea was 85,923, and 58.6% were from China. These statistics suggest that careful research should be made in various areas and from diverse perspectives on Chinese students learning the Korean language. The purposes of this study were to identify factors affecting writing skills in Chinese students learning the Korean language, and to propose an effective writing education method. Age, gender, major, and the period of Korean language learning were selected as independent variables influencing Chinese students’ Korean language competency, and the relationship between each variable and learning was presented in objective numeric values. This study is also distinguished from previous studies in that it established a theoretical frame for supporting Chinese students’ Korean language writing methods substantially. Chapter I presented the purposes and necessities of this study for Chinese students learning the Korean language, and reviewed previous studies. Chapter II examined the concept, meanings, and importance of Korean language writing education through theoretical discussions and reviews, and explored efficient writing education methods proposed in previous studies. Chapter III explained the subjects, methods, and data processing of this study using the research model of this study. Chapter IV analyzed survey results, examined difference in research variables by category, and answered the research questions. Chapter V discussed the results, and proposed an efficient method of Korean language writing education for Chinese learners. Despite the outcomes of objective data analysis and the significance of the findings, however, this study has limitations such as small sample size and the scope limited to students’ individual characteristics and competency. Nevertheless, the findings of this study are expected to provide useful data to future research on Korean language education for Chinese learners and to be helpful to teachers in designing the process of writing education for the Korean language as a foreign language and in teaching their students.
