잠재혼합효과 분석방법의 수행력 비교연구

국문 초록

본 시뮬레이션 연구에서는 잠재혼합효과(latent interaction effect)를 분석하는 두 기법, 잠재조절 구조방정식(latent moderated structural equations, LMS)과 직교화를 이용한 비제약법(orthogonalizing product indicator approach, OPI)의 수행력을 다양한 연구조건 하에서 분석하였다. 분포도와 표본 수 조건을 달리하여 자료를 생성하였으며 수렴비율, 모수와 표준오차 추정의 상대편향, 모수검정 기각률, 그리고 모형적합도 결과에 기준하여 두 기법을 비교하였다. 연구결과, LMS는 표본 수가 작고 비정규분포성이 증가하는 조건에서 수렴에 실패하는 경우가 있었으나 OPI보다 잠재혼합효과 모수를 더 정확하게 추정하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 잠재혼합효과 유의도 검정의 기각 비율에 있어서 LMS가 OPI보다 높았다. 모든 조건에 걸쳐 직접효과나 상관관계보다 비선형구조에 기초한 잠재혼합효과를 분석할때 통계 검증값들의 편향이 커지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 분석 과정에서 고려해야할 사항과 연구가 가지는 함의에 대해 논의하였다

영문 초록

This simulation study examined the performances of two modeling tools dealing with latent interaction effects under various research conditions. Using three types of distributional shapes and sample sizes, the latent moderated structural equation(LMS) and orthogonalizing product indicator approach(OPI) were compared based on convergence rates, relative bias of parameter and standard error estimates, parameter rejection rates, and model fit statistics. The results indicated that LMS failed to converge at odd times under the extreme research conditions, while OPI successfully converged across all designs. LMS yielded less biased interaction parameter estimates and provided higher rejection rates on statistical testing for interaction effect than OPI. The statistical inferences of latent interaction effect tended to be less stable than those of main and association effects. Based on the outcomes of the study, advantages and weaknesses of both LMS and OPI were discussed. Also, it dealt with other practical issues pertaining to these analytical models.
