경제활동 노인의 일과 삶의 만족도 관계에서 우울의 조절효과 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 경제활동 노인이 현재 참여하고 있는 일과 삶의 만족도와의 관계에서 우울의 상호작용을 고찰해 보기 위해 시도 되었다. 이를 위해 다중회귀모형을 구축하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 분석에 사용된 데이타는 「2014년 전국노인실태조사」 원자료이다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 우선, 경제활동 노인의 일 만족도는 여자보다는 남자가, 연령이 낮을수록, 도시지역인 동부거주자, 교육수준이 높을수록, 만성질환 수가 적을수록, 사회참여활동수가 많을수록, 노인일자리 참여자가 상대적으로 높았다. 둘째, 경제활동 노인의 우울은 남자보다는 여자가, 연령이 높을수록, 배우자와 비동거자, 교육수준이 낮을수록, 만성질환자 수가 많을수록, 사회참여활동이 적을수록, 노인일자리사업 참여자가 상대적으로 심각하였다. 셋째, 경제활동 노인의 삶의 만족도는 여자보다는 남자가, 연령이 낮을수록, 농촌지역 거주하는 경우, 배우자와 동거하는 경우, 고학력일수록, 만성질환 수가 적을수록, 사회참여활동 수가 많을수록, 노인일자리 사업 참여자보다는 일반 경제활동 참가자가 상대적 으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 경제활동 노인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향력을 파악하기 위하여 통제변수인 인구사회적 변인과 일 만족, 우울을 독립변인으로 모두 투입한 다중회귀분석 결과, 우울(β=-.368)의 영향력이 가장 크고, 다음은 사회참여활동(β=.166), 일 만족도(β=.149), 만성질환 수(β=-.137), 배우자 동거(β=.135), 지역(β=-.087), 교육수준(β=.079), 노인일자리사업 참여(β=-.075), 연령(β=.040) 순으로 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 일 만족도와 우울의 상호작용 항을 투입한 모형에서도 우울(β=-.356, p<.001), 일 만족도(β=.189, p<.001) 및 상호작용항(β=-.054, p<.01) 모두가 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타나, 우울의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 이 같은 결과를 바탕으로 고령사회 진입으로 점증할 것으로 예상되는 경제활동 노인의 삶의 만족도 개선을 위해서는 무엇보다도 우울증상 완화와 만성질환 관리에 역점을 두어야 하며, 이를 적극 실천하기 위해서는 주기적인 실태조사에 근거한 체계적인 관리와 서비스 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 또한, 경제활동 노인의 사회참여 활성화와 보다 만족스러운 일자리 공급정책이 수반되어야 한다. 특히, 공공부문의 일자리사업보다는 민간부분의 지속적인 일자리가 마련되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyse the relations of the satisfaction of work and life of the elderly in economic activities and moderating effects of depression on the relationship between work and life-satisfaction. For these objects, I used the raw data of 2014 National Survey of the Elderly and analysed multiple regression. The main results could be summarized as follows; First, the satisfaction of work is reltively higher in men, lower age, in urban areas, higher education level, less chronic diseases and more social participation activities. Second, the depression of old worker is relatively higher in women, higher age, in spouse with-living, lower education level, more chronic diseases and less social participation activities. Third, the satisfaction of life of old worker is relatively higher in men, lower age, in rural areas, in spouse with-living, higher education level, less chronic diseases, more social participation activities and higher non-participants of the elderly employment program in public sector. Fourth, multiple regression model, including socio-demographic vairables, the satisfaction of work and depression, was constructed and analysed the impact on the satisfaction of life of the old workers. The results of the analysis, influencing power is in order depressiion(β=-.368), social participation activities(β=.166), satisfaction of work(β=.149), number of chronic diseases(β=-.137), spouse with-living(β=.135), region(β=-.087), education level(β=.079), the elderly employment project participants(β=-.075) and age(β=.040). Finally, model with interaction terms of work satisfaction and depression showed depression (β=-.356, p <.001) and interactive term(β=-.054, p<.01) are all statistically significant, which means moderating effects of depression on the relationship between work and life-satisfaction of the elderly economic activity. According to these results, policy for the elderly worker should be focused on alleviating of depression symptom in order to increase the satisfaction. In addition, holistic approach in cooperation with health and welfare should be required of the mental health improvement of the melderly worker and should be required systematic management and service plan based on periodic survey.
