여성노인의 신체적 건강과 우울간의 사회적 지지의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 다가올 고령사회에서의 여성노인이 피해갈 수 없는 신체적 건강문제에 대처할 수 있는 사회적 지지의 개입 방안을 모색하여 여성노인의 건강 증진과 삶의 질을 높이기 위한 정책 및 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 경북지역에 거주하고 노인복지관을 이용하는 65세 이상의 여성노인 207명을 대상으로 조사한 결과를 토대로 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 활용한 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 분석결과에 따른 결론 및 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성노인의 신체적 건강수준이 낮을수록 우울수준이 높고, 사회적 지지가 높을수록 우울수준이 낮은 관계가 나타났다. 이를 통해 여성노인의 신체적 건강에 대한 관리의 필요성과 신체적 건강수준이 낮은 여성노인에대한 지속적인 사회적 지지의 제공이 우울을 예방할 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 둘째, 여성노인의 신체적 건강과 우울과의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 검증한 결과, 가족지지는 여성노인의 신체적 건강이 우울에 미치는 영향을 조절하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났지만 친구지지와 전문가지지는 조절하는 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 여성노인의 신체적 건강과 우울 간 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 높일 수 있는 사회복지차원의 실천적 함의를 도출하였다

영문 초록

This study aims to provide the basic data which is helpful to policy and program development to improve the health and quality of life of elderly women to seek the intervention of social support to cope with physical health problem which elderly women can not avoid in the coming aging society. For this purpose, the subjects of study are 207 elderly women at their age 65 and over, who lives in Gyeongbuk area and uses welfare center, and their responses are analyzed by using hierarchical regression analysis under PASW Statistics 18.0 program. Following are the results. First, when physical health status is low, depression levels high. and when social support is high, depression levels low. These results show that necessity of management of the physical health of elderly women and provide continuous social support for elderly women having low levels of physical health can prevent depression. Second, family support has moderating effects in which physical health influence depression while friend support and expert support have not. Through these, it draw practical implication of social welfare to increase moderating effect between physical health and depression of elderly women
