비만에 대한 인식이 비만 대처에 미치는 영향 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 비만에 대한 인식이 비만관련 커뮤니케이션 행동과 대처결과에 미치는 영향력을 연구하였다. 연구대상은 20대∼40대 성인 358명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 비만에 대한 관계적 관여도 인식은 비만관련 정보탐색 행동과 정보전달 행동에 영향을 미치며, 정보탐색과 정보전달 행동은 정서적 대처과정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정보전달 행동과 정서적 대처과정은 물리적 대처결과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과 검증 결과 정보전달 행동은 관계적 관여도 인식과 물리적 대처결과를 매개하며, 정서적 대처과정은 정보탐색과 물리적 대처결과를 매개하고 정보전달과 물리적 대처결과를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 연령대별로 분석한 결과 20∼30대에서는 건강적 관여도 인식이 물리적 대처결과에 영향을 미치지 않았지만 40대에서는 영향관계가 나타났다. 본 연구는 비만에 대한 인식이 대처결과에 이르는 과정에서 커뮤니케이션 행동의 영향력을 체계적으로 살펴봄으로써 질병에 대한 공중의 효과적 대처를 가능하게 하는 커뮤니케이션의 영향력을 밝혔다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigated how obesity recognition influences communicative actions and coping outcomes. 358 adults between the age of 20s∼40s were subjected for this study. As of the result, the relational involvement recognition in obesity influenced information seeking and forwarding related to obesity, which then influenced emotion-focused coping process of the subjects. In addition, information forwarding and emotion-focused coping process also influenced physical coping outcomes of the subjects. Information forwarding of the subjects mediated relational involvement recognition with physical coping outcomes while emotion-focused coping process mediated information seeking with physical coping outcomes as well as information forwarding with physical coping outcomes. In the analysis by age group, health involvement recognition in 20s∼30s did not influence physical coping outcomes while the subjects in 40s showed the influence. This study is meaningful as it identified the influence of communicative action to effectively cope with the disease by systematically reviewing the influence of communicative action from the obesity recognition to coping outcomes.
