영문 초록

This study investigated the determinants of residents' support for tourism development options in Jeju Island Tourism development options were classified into trass/alternative tourism, ecotourism, and any tourism development whatever the type is by hierarchical cluster analysis. And residents' perception toward tourism impacts were categorized by six factors by factor analysis. Multinomial logit model was applied to examine factors which affect residents' support for tourism development options. Results indicated that residents' perception toward tourism impacts affect residents' support to a specific type of tourism development. Other social and psychological factors and demographic factors also influenced on residents' preference of tourism development options.
