자연공원 이용에 대한 수요결정요인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 자연공원 이용에 대한 소비자의 수요함수를 참여결정요인과 소비량결정 요인으로 분리하여 추정하는데 있다. 분석을 위하여 포아송허들(Poisson-hurdle)모형과 음이항허들(negative binomial-hurdle)모형을 이용하였으며 적절한 모형 선택을 위해 과도분산검정을 실시하여 그 결과에 따라 설명변수를 해석하였다. 참여결정요인분석에서는 종속변수가 0의 값을 취하는 가 혹은 양수 값(positive value)을 취하는 가에 대한 이항식의 확률밀도함수(probability mass function)를 통해 분석을 실시하였으며, 소비량결정요인을 추정하기 위해서는 소비행위에 참여하지 않은 표본의 관측치를 0에서 절삭하고 양수의 관측치를 대상으로 절삭된 포아송모형(truncated-at-zero Poisson)을 적용하였다. 참여결정요인과 소비량결정요인에 대해 유의하게 분석된 설명변수의 상대적 변화를 나타내는 영향력을 추정하기 위해 한계효과(marginal effect)를 실시하여 그 결과를 제시하였다. 분석결과는 자연공원에 관한 소비자의 기초적인 자료를 제공함과 동시에 정책수립주체에 대한 마케팅자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The focus of this study was the identification of determinants of demand, participation and consumption decisions at a natural park. A hurdle Poisson count model and a hurdle negative binomial count model were used. A test of whether the hurdle negative binomial count model reduces to the hurdle Poisson count model was applied using an overdispersion test. In the first stage, to identify the participation determinants, a binomial probability model to test whether a count variable has a value of zero or a positive value was employed. In the second stage, a truncated-at-zero Poisson model was used to analyze the consumption determinants for natural park visits. Marginal effects on each participation determinant and consumption determinant were shown for the purpose of changing the quantity of the independent variables. Ultimately, these survey results will be used as part of a marketing information database to develop a marketing strategy and establish policy for natural parks.
