생태학 이론 관점에서 본 유아교사의 행복감 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 인구학적 특성뿐만 아니라 유아교사를 둘러싸고 있는 생태학적 변인인 미시체계, 중간체계, 외체계변인과 행복감과의 관계를 분석하여 보다 포괄적으로 유아교사의 행복감을 설명할 수 있는 생태체계 변인을 살펴보고 행복감의 영향요인을 규명하기 위함이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 광주, 전남ㆍ전북지역의 유아교육기관에 재직하고 있는 유치원 및 어린이집 교사 258명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유아교사를 둘러싼 생태학적 환경 변인 중 중간체계변인(유아-교사 상호작용, 원장 및 동료와의 관계)이 유아교사의 행복감에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 중 둘 이상의 환경들 간의 상호작용이라 볼 수 있는 유아-교사 상호작용과 원장 및 동료와의 관계가 좋을 때 유아교사의 행복감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아교사의 행복감을 높이기위해 기존의 단일요인을 중심으로 한 연구에서 더 나아가 유아교사의 문화적 맥락을 포괄적으로 살펴볼 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to examine ecosystem variables that can explain early childhood teachers’ happiness comprehensively and to identify factors influencing their happiness through analyzing how early childhood teachers’ happiness are related to their demographic characteristics and ecological variables surrounding the teachers such as microsystem, mesosystem, and exosystem variables. For these purposes, this study conducted a questionnaire survey with 240 early childhood teachers working at kindergartens or childcare centers in Gwangju, Jollanam do, and Jollabuk do. According to the results, among ecological environment variables surrounding early childhood teachers, mesosystem variables (teacher child interaction, relationship with the director and colleagues) were found to influence the teachers’ happiness. Moreover, early childhood teachers’ happiness was higher particularly when ‘teacher child interaction,’ ‘relationship with the director and colleagues’ which is interaction between two or more environments were good. These results suggest that, instead of research focusing on a single factor as in previous studies, early childhood teachers’ cultural context should be examined comprehensively in order to enhance early childhood teachers’ happiness.
