경도지적장애 청소년의 자기표현 및 자아존중감 향상을 위한 미술치료 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 미술치료가 경도지적장애 청소년의 자기표현 및 자아존중감 향상에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 C시 소재 A지역아동센터를 이용하는 경도 지적장애 청소년 1명이다. 연구진행은 2015년 3월 6일～2015년 4월 24일까지 8주간 주 2회 진행하였으며, 미술치료를 매 회기 50분씩, 총 15회기 실시하였다. 연구 효과를 검증하기 위하여 연구대상의 프로그램 실시 전후의 자기표현 척도검사와 자아존중감 척도 검사를 실시하여 비교 검토 하였다. 연구결과, 경도지적장애 청소년의 자기표현과 자아존중감이 향상되었다. 회기별 분석에서도 초기에 비해 후기로 갈수록 적극적인 자기표현을 하는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 자아존중감 역시 초기에 비해 후기로 갈수록 증가함을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 진행된 미술치료가 경도지적장애 청소년의 자기표현 및 자아존중감 향상에 효과가 있음을 보여준다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effects of art therapy on the improvement of self-expression and self-esteem of an adolescent with mild intellectual disability. An adolescent with mild intellectual disability at A Community Child Center in C city was the subject in this study. This art therapy program consisted of 15 therapy sessions in total, where each session lasted 50 minutes twice a week for 8 weeks from March 6, 2015 to April 24, 2015. Before and after this program, Rakos & Schroeder's scale and self-esteem scale were conducted on the subject. This study showed the enhancement on the self-expression and self-esteem of the adolescent with mild intellectual disability. And the result from the quality analysis in this study also suggested the subject displayed more active self-expression in the later session than in the initial. Consequently, according to this study, art therapy positively makes an effect on the improvement of the self-expression and self-esteem of the adolescent with mild intellectual disability.
