국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년용 성격평가질문지(PAI-A) 도구의 공격성 척도를 Rasch 측정모형에 기반을 두고 타당화 작업을 하였다. 범법행위로 입건된 청소년을 대상으로 보호관찰소에서 PAI-A가 실시되었고, 2009년부터 2012년 자료 중 13-18세 청소년 5,831명의 자료를 Winsteps 3.68을 이용한 분석하였다. 그 결과, 공격성 전체 문항을 사용한 척도 뿐만 아니라 공격성-태도, 공격성-신체, 공격성-언어 하위척도를 이루는 몇 문항들은 해당 학위척도구성요소로 보기가 어려웠다. 성별과 나이에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차별기능 문항이 있었으나, 실제적 측면에서는 한 문항만이 성차에 따른 유의한 차별기능 문항으로 드러 났다. 전체 문항을 사용한 공격성 척도가 단일 차원이 아니었고, 또한 각 하위차원을 구성하는 것으로 간주되어진 문항들도 세 개의 하위차원을 이루는 성분으로 보기가 힘들어서, 공격성 척도의 문항 평균이나 총점을 사용하는 데 있어서 주의가 요구된다

영문 초록

This study investigates the validity of the aggression scales of Personality Assessment Inventory for Adolescent (PAI-A) using Rasch measurement model. Data were collected from 5,831 delinquents who took PAI-A under the supervision of the criminal justice system in Korea from 2009 to 2012. As a part of assessment procedure to make appropriate judiciary decisions and correction for juvenile delinquents, PAI-A has been often used in Korea. The result of analysis using Winsteps 3.68 did not support unidimensionality of each subscale, neither the unidimensionality of the total 18 items. Some item fit statistics were not good for individual aggression subscales. There also exists gender and age-related statistically significant differential item function (DIF). However, only one item showed a practically mild gender-related DIF. Since not all the items are considered as the component of a single construct or factor, nor groups of items that are considered “components” of a subscale turn out to be respective components of the factor, caution is needed in utilizing either mean or sum of the respective items of the aggression scale.
