국문 초록

본고에서는 이슈리더십과 성과의 관계를 매개하는 개인차원의 매개변수 들을 체계적으로 탐색하였다. 우선 리더십에서 매개효과가 갖는 중요성을 개념적, 방법론적 차원에서 분석하고, 잠재적 매개변인들을 인지, 동기, 정서, 태도, 가치관 등 다섯 가지 영역에서 살펴봤다. 특히 이슈창안, 오디언스몰입, 이슈실행 등 이슈리더십의 세 차원 각각에 대해서 개별적으로 탐색하였다. 이슈창안에 있어서는 인지적 변수들이, 오디언스몰입에서는 정서적 변수들, 이슈실행은 태도변수들이 핵심매개변수로 정리되었다.

영문 초록

The present study has explored the potential variables that might mediate the relationship between issue leadership and outcome variables. Issue leadership, publicized in 2000, has shown very promising direct effects on outcome variables such as satisfaction, commitment, and innovative behavior. However, the mediation process between issue leadership and outcome variables thus far were not systematically explored. At the individual level of analysis, a review of organizational behavior literature presented that such areas as cognition, motivation, emotion, attitude, and value provided a multitude of mediator-potential variables for each dimension of issue leadership as in issue creation, audience involving, and issue implementation. It has been argued that future studies should conduct empirical investigations that test the effectiveness of the mediating variables that are identified in this paper. Other future directions of the issue leadership research have also been suggested.
