자원봉사활동 참여가 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 중년층 여성의 자원봉사활동이 그들의 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인해 보고자 함에 목적을 둔 것으로, 수도권 지역 거주중인 4 0~50대 여성 중년층 300명에게 설문지를 배부하였고 그 가운데 총 236부를 분석대상으로 활용하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 나타난 결과를 정리해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 응답자의 성별, 연령, 학력, 종교, 경제력 등의 일반적 사항에 따른 자원봉사참여 실태에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 응답자의 경제력, 배우자 유무에 따른 자아존중감, 그리고 응답자의 학력, 경제력, 배우자 유무에 따른 삶의 만족도에서 역시 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 응답자의 자원봉사 참여 동기와 참여기간에 따라 자아존중감에 유의미한 차이가 있고, 응답자의 자원봉사 참여여부와 활동에 대한 가족들의 태도에 따라 삶의 만족도에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 응답자의 경제력, 배우자 유무, 자원봉사 활동기간이 자아존중감과 유의미한 상관관계가 있고, 응답자의 학력, 경제력, 자원봉사활동 유무가 삶의 만족도와 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 응답자의 배우자의 유무, 자원봉사활동 기간이 자아존중감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 응답자의 학력, 경제력, 배우자의 유무, 자원봉사활동에 대한 가족들의 반응이 삶의 만족도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 중년층 여성에게 있어 자원봉사활동이 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도를 제고시켜 줌을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

I have distributed 300 questionnaires to women age of 40s and 50s who lives in capital area, and I have used 236 questionnaires of them as subjects of analysis. I used SPSS/Win ver. 18.0 for Statistical analysis to verify reliability and validity of the measurement tool, and to apply frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, independent sample t- test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis. Also, each analysis has been verified in the p <.05, p <.01, p <.001 level of significance. I used SPSS/Win ver. 18.0 for Statistical analysis to verify reliability and validity of the measurement tool, and to apply frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, independent sample t- test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis. Also, each analysis has been verified in the p <.05, p <.01, p <.001 level of significance, depends on respondent's sex, age, education, religion. Second, it shows that there is a significant difference in self-esteem depends on respondent's financial status and marital status, and there is a significant difference in life satisfaction depends on respondent's education, financial status and marital status Third, it show that there is a significant difference in self-esteem depends on respondent's reason and duration of volunteer work, and there is a significant difference in life satisfaction depends on attitude of respondent's family about attending volunteer work. Fourth, it shows that there is a significant difference in self-esteem depends on respondent's financial status, marital status, duration of volunteer work ,and there is a significant difference in life satisfaction depends on respondent's education, financial status and participation status. Fifth, it show that respondent's marital status, duration of volunteer work have good influence on self-esteem, and respondent's education, financial status, marital status, family's response to volunteer work have good influence on life satisfaction. Through this result, I was able to see that volunteer work helps middle-aged women to improve self-esteem and life satisfaction.
