문학텍스트를 활용한 한국어 문화교육 연구

국문 초록

한국어교육에서 의사소통 중심의 교육이 활발하게 연구가 이루어지면서 문화교육에 대한 관심도 증가하였다. 외국어교육에서 문화교육은 자국의 문화와 타국의 문화까지 확장하여 이해하고 비교하는데 중점을 두었다. 한국어교육에서 의사소통 중심 교육의 연구가 활발하게 이루어지면서 문화교육에 대한 관심도 증가하여 교육의 방향이 학습자 중심으로 지향되어 가고 있다. 언어 사용에 있어 정확성 추구에서 유창성을 강조하게 되어 의사소통 능력이 중요시되어 강조됨에 따라, 1970년대 이후 언어 능력을 문법적 능력 외에 그 언어가 쓰이는 사회와 문화에 관한 지식과 거기에 적합한 언어를 구사하는 능력임을 인지하게 되었다. 언어 교육에 있어서도 문법 구조 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 사회, 문화적 요인의 중요성이 부각되었다. 그로 인해 1980년대 들어와서는 문화 교육에 대한 관심이 고조되었다. 언어를 잘 구사하려면 문화를 제대로 이해하지 않고서는 불가능하기 때문이다. 본 연구는「선녀와 나무꾼」의 이야기를 활용하여 중ㆍ고급 학습자가 모국의 문화와 한국의 문화 습득에 대한 이해를 하고 비교 문화를 통해 다양한 문화적 측면을 이끌어낼 수 있는 유형으로 '나무꾼 지상회귀형을 선택하였다.

영문 초록

Active studies on the communicative approach resulted in increasing culture education. Culture education in teaching foreign language education sets importance on understanding and comparison between one's own culture and other's. with active studies on the communicative approach in teaching korean. People showed more interest in culture education and that has been leading learner-centered education. Due to fluency more than accuracy being acquired in communication skill, people have aspired toward the linguistic competence that covers its society and culture beyond grammatical competence since the 1970s. The significance of social and cultural factors in language education is highlighted rather than teaching grammatical structure. So culture education has become a big part of language education since the 1980s. We cannot exclude cultural understanding to have a great linguistic competence when learning a foreign language. This study aimed at the cultural understanding of intermediate and high level learner's own country and Korea through「A fairy and a woodman」, and chose to derive the conclusion that it can bring diverse cultural factors through comparison of culture. Educators should alert learners about Korean cultural elements such as intangible values, Korean sentiment through Korean fairy tales, and what Korean traditional image is, not so much as westernized modern Korea.
