학업탄력성이 있는 학생들의 고교 및 대학생활 특성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 한국교육종단연구 1-8차년도 자료를 활용하여 학업탄력성이 있는 학생들의 고교 및 대학생활 특성을 분석하였다. 학업탄력성이 있는 학생들은 고교생활 특성에서 비취약계층-학업우수집단 학생들에 비해 부모의 학업적 지원, 학생회 활동 참여는 더 적었으나, 유사한 가정배경을 가진 비학업우수-취약계층집단 학생들에 비해서 도구적 동기가 높았고, 상대적으로 비용이 적게 드는 교육인 방과후학교, EBS, 독서 등을 많이 활용하며, 협동심, 배려심, 시민의식 등의 정의적 특성도 더 긍정적이었다. 대학생활 특성에서도 학업탄력성이 있는 학생들은 비학업우수-취약계층집단 학생들에 비해 수업참여도가 더 높고, 학업일탈행동이 더 적었으며, 대학 이후 성적이 더 높았다. 비취약계층-학업 우수집단 학생들과 비교했을 때에도 대학 이후 성적에서 차이가 없었으며, 학업탄력성이 있는 학생들이 성적우수상 또는 장학금은 더 많이 받은 것으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics of academically resilient students. Korean Educational Longitudinal Study (KELS) data was used for this study. The results showed that academically resilient students received less academic support from parents and participated less in student council activities than students with not-low SES and high achievement during high school years. But academically resilient students had higher instrumental motivation than vulnerable students with low SES and not-high achievement. The academically resilient students utilized low-cost learning methods such as after-school programs, EBS, and reading books, and also had more positive affective characteristics. During college, academically resilient students participated more in class and their grades were higher than vulnerable students. And academically resilient students were received more scholarship than other group students.
