인도네시아 물류산업의 현황과 한국물류기업의 인도네시아 진출전략에 관한 연구

국문 초록

인도네시아는 동서로 약 5,000km 이상의 거리에 1만 7천개 이상의 섬을 보유하고 있는 세계 최대의 섬나라이다. 이런 지리적 특징으로 인한 글로벌 해양허브의 잠재성과 국내소비수준의 급격한 증가로 인해 인도네시아는 최근 해 외 투자자들로부터 지속적인 관심을 받고 있다. 또한, 인도네시아는 풍부한 해안선과 광대한 지리적 여건 때문에 대 기업보다는 중소기업들이 사회 및 경제 분야에서 중추적인 역할을 하고 있다. 위와 같은 특징 때문에 인도네시아는 한국을 포함한 많은 선진국가로부터 세계에서 가장 수익성있는 투자처로 인 식되고 있다. 그러나, 투자자들의 적극적인 관심에도 불구하고, 인도네시아는 국제교역에서 이점을 제대로 살리지 못 하고 있다. 즉, 절대적으로 부족한 물류인프라가 인도네시아의 성장과 지속적인 발전에 걸림돌로 작용하고 있다. 따 라서 본 연구는 인도네시아 경제를 대부분의 중소기업이 뒷받침하고 있다는 것에 착안하여 인도네시아 물류현황을 중소기업관점에서 살펴본 후 인도네시아에 진출하려는 한국기업에 시사점을 주기 위해 연구되었다. 연구결과, 인도 네시아는 의심할 여지없이 한국기업에게 거대한 기회의 시장으로 밝혀졌으며, 투자를 성공적으로 이끌기 위해서는 인도네시아 교유의 물류적 특징을 세심하게 고려할 필요가 있음이 밝혀졌다.

영문 초록

Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelagic country is frequently gaining attention from global investors due to its potential to emerge as a global maritime hub and the growing domestic consumption. The country enjoys rich coastline and is often characterized by the dominance of small and medium enterprises(SMEs) in social and economic arenas. Indonesia has evolved as one of the most lucrative investment destinations for investors in many countries, including Korea. But despite successfully wooing the investors, the country fails to reap advantages of international trade optimally. The inadequate logistics framework in Indonesia poses severe threats to its growth and sustainable development. The paper takes into consideration the logistics condition in Indonesia with special reference to small and medium enterprises(SMEs) and analyzes investment opportunities for Korean logistics firms. The paper finds that Indonesia undoubtedly can prove to be a vast market for Korean firms but they do need to consider the inherent logistics loopholes in the country which may pose profitability related challenges.
