고령자의 재취업에 미치는 요인 분석 연구

국문 초록

우리나라는 이미 2000년에 고령사회로 접어들었으며, 2018년부터 심각한 고령사회가 되는 현실로 인하여 이 현상이 지속될 경우 노동력부족으로 인한 범국가적인 경제침체가 발생할 가능성이 높다. 따라서, 인간의 수명이 연장됨에 따르는 노인 삶의 안정을 위한 여러 방안 중에서 고령자의 재취업은 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 좋은 방안이 될 수 있다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고령자의 재취업을 활성화 할 수 있는 고령자의 재취업에 미치는 요인 분석을 위해 노인의 인적자본특성, 가구관련특성, 노동시장특성은 남녀 노인의 경제활동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 연구문제로 삼았다. 분석을 위한 자료로는 한국노동패널 자료를 이용하였고, 연구문제를 검증하기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인적자본특성에 대한 분석에서는 성별과 직업훈련경험이 노인의 재취업에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가구관련특성에 대한 분석에서는 가구내 지위, 자산소득, 이전소득, 가족부양 여부, 배우자 유무 변수 모두에서 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 가구주일수록, 자산소득과 이전소득이 없을수록, 가족을 부양하고 있을수록, 배우자가 있을수록 재취업에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 노인의 재취업 가능성이 가구 내의 경제적 문화와 밀접하게 연관되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 노동시장특성과 관련한 분석에서는 종사상의 지위가 비정규직인 경우에 비해 정규직인 경우에 재취업의 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 비정규직이었던 노인이 재취업을 하기에는 상당한 어려움을 겪게 될 것을 의미하고 노동시장 지위에 따라 노동시장의 분절성이 강하게 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있다. 각 특성들을 종합해보면, 인적자본특성과 노동시장특성에 비하여 가구관련특성이 노인의 재취업 결정에 전반적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과가 의미하는 것은 가구소득이 높은 노인들은 그렇지 않은 노인들보다 노인의 경제활동에 큰 영향을 받지 않는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구는 고령자의 재취업 의지의 영향요인을 분석함으로써 고령화와 저출산으로 인한 생산인구 감소를 완화하고 고령자의 재취업 활성화를 위한 기초적인 자료가 되는 부분에 기여하는 것에 의미를 두고자 하며 향후 고령자의 재취업 의지를 재취업으로 연결하여 고령자의 생산적 활동을 할 수 있는 방안데 대한 연구의 필요성을 제언하고자 한다.
