머천다이징 유닛 시스템 활성화를 위한 재사용 회수용기 사용이 물류비용에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

대형 유통업체는 간편한 재고보충을 위해 간단한 물류용기와 상품진열용기를 일체화 시켜 운영하는 체계인 머천다이징 유닛(MU : Merchandising Unit)시스템의 개념을 도입하여 운영하고 있지만 주로 그물망으로 포장되는 엽채류 유통과정 의 여건상 MU시스템을 활성화 하지 못하고 있다. 또한 그물망 포장에 따른 압상에 의한 상품가치하락, 유통단계에서 비닐 테이핑 또는 네트 테이핑, 청소비용, 감모비용 및 폐기물 처리비용은 물류비용 증가의 원인이 되고 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 엽채류의 대표품목인 배추의 유통경로인 생산자, 도매시장 및 소비지 대형유통업체 간의 수송단계를 고찰하였으며, MU시스템 활성화를 위한 방안 도출, 압상의 원인으로 발생하는 구매비용, 감모손실비용, 청소비용, 파렛타이징 적재 후 비닐 또는 네트 테이핑 등 엽채류 산지로부터 소매시장간 유통과정에서 발생할 수 있는 비용분석을 하였다. 이와 같은 고찰과 분석을 통하여 생산지로부터 판매처에 이르기까지 엽채류의 일관수송을 위한 물류합리화 모형을 개발하였다.

영문 초록

Large distribution companies have introduced and run the concept of merchandising unit(MU), a system of unifying and operating simple logistics and product display containers, for simple replenishment of stock, but there is no activation of the MU system in the circulation process of green vegetables usually packaged in mesh due to its conditions. The product values drop due to the pressure imposed on products according to mesh packaging. In addition, logistics costs are rising due to the vinyl or net taping, cleaning, depletion, and waste disposal costs in the distribution stage. In an effort to overcome those limitations, this study looked into the stages of transportation on the distribution route of Chinese cabbage, one of the representative green vegetables, among producers, wholesale markets, and large distribution companies at consumption sites, came up with a plan for MU system activation, and analyzed potential costs in the distribution process from the producers of green vegetables to consumption markets including the purchase costs by pressure on products, depletion loss costs, cleaning costs, and vinyl or net taping palletizing loading. Based on the examination and analysis results, the study developed a logistics rationalization model for intermodal transportation of green vegetables from producers to stores.
