영문 초록

Ⅰ. Purpose: The aim of this study is to prevent the physical senility of the aged with infirmities and dangers in daily life and give satisfaction to them by returning their power to community through adequate sports. Considering that the leisure and sports study is a step forward welfare society, This study propose a plan that can utilize leisure time effectively. Ⅱ. Method: This study had investigated the sports consciousness of the aged(male:160, female:132. ) in Seoul by personal interview. For this study, a questionaire was used which was withdrawn immediately after having interview with them. Ⅲ. Result: 1. The study results indicated that the aged can't enjoy sports for improving their poor health for lack of facilities though they realize the importance of sports activities. 2. They positively can't take part in sports activities for lack of capable sports leaders. 3. They spend only for less than 30 minutes in sports activities for lack of an aid of sports organization for them. 4. They enjoy sports activities such as walking, badminton and free exercise. 5. They suffer from neuralgia and muscle ache for lack of physical activity.
