국문 초록

미래의 사목자들이 시대의 요구에 부응하여 예수 그리스도의 면모로 변형될 수 있도록 인도하려는 목적을 지닌 사제양성 과정은 교육활동의 일환으로 신앙공동체의 심장이라고 일컬어지는 신학교의 요체가 된다. 교육공동체로서 신학교는 두 가지 양성 기능을 담당하는데, 성소를 성숙시키고 촉진시키는 기능과, 식별을 통해 신학생들의 성소를 확인하는 기능이다. 그렇기에 성소식별은 양성의 모든 과정에서 중요한 과제를 지닌다. 사제양성의 목표와 과정은 하느님으로부터 부르심을 느낀 한 인격체를 대상으로 한다. 양성 과정 중 인간 교육이 가장 기본적인 바탕을 이루어야 사제성소의 성숙을 이루어 나갈 수 있다. 이러한 차원에서 미래의 사제들이 인간적으로 훌륭한 품성을 지니고 정서적인 안정과 성숙, 상호 인격적인 친교와 자기통제 등의 표지를 드러내도록 양성되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사제양성 과정 중 인간 교육과 관련된 영역에 국한해서 성소식별이 어떠한 목적과 기준을 가지고 양성과정에 적용되어야 하는지를 고찰하고자, 보편적인 내용을 담고 있는 교회문헌에 나타난 자료들을 바탕으로 실질적으로 성소식별과 관련된 연구서적들을 분석하면서 내용을 전개해 나간다. 연구 내용은 성소식별이 지향하는 목표와 조건들에 대한 고찰로부터 시작해서 신학생의 지향이나 동기, 인간적으로 갖추어야 할 태도와 자질 등 인간 교육의 목표와 긴밀히 연관되어 있는 표지들에 대해서 살펴보고 있다. 주요내용을 정리해보면, 먼저 사제가 되고자 하는 목적과 이에 따르는 동기들과의 관계로부터 규정되는 원의는 성소를 드러내는 표지가 된다. 따라서 성소를 지니고 그 안에서 성숙되어 나아간다는 것은 사제직이 지닌 가치를 자신에게 중요한 가치로서 받아들여 변화된다는 것을 의미하는데, 개인적으로 중요하다 생각되는 가치들은 한 인격체를 방향 짓게 하는 근원이 되기 때문이다. 행동의 동기가 과연 얼마나 효과적으로 사제성소의 표지들을 드러내고 있는지를 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 만일 사제성소의 명확한 가치를 드러내고 있는 신학생이라면 내적으로 자유로움을 느낄 것이며, 그렇지 못할 경우 보상을 받으려는 욕구와 감정적 필요에 의한 동기로부터 비롯된 성소일 것이다. 또한 신학생이 자유로운 의지와 정서적 성숙함으로 사제직을 열망하고 있는지를 살펴보면서 여러 동기들 가운데 정화되어야 하는 동기들이 있음을 기억해야 한다. 신학교의 양성자들은 일정한 교육활동을 통해 신학생들의 성소를 구체화시키고 그들이 그리스도를 따르기 위한 최종적 결정을 내리기까지 함께 동반하는 이들이어야 한다. 무엇보다도 먼저 성소식별을 통해 성령의 현존과 믿음 안에서 하느님의 의향과 활동하심에 대해 주목해야 한다. 또한 복음의 빛으로 사건과 상황 그리고 관련된 사람들을 파악하여 성소의 표지들을 확인하고 해석한다는 것이 하느님의 부르심을 알게끔 해주는 단서를 드러내는 것임을 명심해야 한다. 식별작업은 양성자들이 지닌 인간적인 능력을 중재로 이루어지기에 성소의 표지들을 종합적으로 해석할 수 있는 기법과 역량이 필요하다. 또한 한 인격체에 대한 구체적이고 심도 있는 파악과 이해를 위해 성소식별은 교육학적 감수성을 요구한다. 그러므로 양성과정이 지닌 의미에 주의를 기울여 성소자 각자가 지닌 성숙의 정도나 발달 주기에 관심을 기울여 점진적인 단계별 식별과정을 통해 성소가 이러한 교육학적 신뢰심과 분별의 일치 속에서 계발되리라는 확신을 주어야 한다. 성소계발의 교육적 필요라는 관점에서 신체의 건강, 심리적 안정과 균형, 정서적이고 성적인 성숙도에 대해 바람직하고 그렇지 않은 영역들에 관심을 갖고 식별에 임해야 한다. 성소식별의 일반적인 기준이 지닌 특성은 무엇이며 이러한 식별기준이 어떻게 사제 양성 과정 중에 적용되어야 하는가를 긍정적이고 부정적인 차원에서 보다 구체적으로 모색해 보고 있다. 만일 성소식별 안에서 절대적으로 역기능적인 표지들이 발견된다면 식별 과정의 첫 단계가 시작된 것을 의미한다. 이런 경우, 인성적 결핍뿐만 아니라 인성에 대한 전체적인 맥락 안에서 역기능적 표지들을 넘어서서 극복할 수 있는 풍요로운 자원들이 있는지 깊이 있게 바라보아야 할 것이다. 즉 성소식별은 성소의 실재와 한 인격체의 모든 차원이 통합되는 가운데 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 부정적 표지들을 드러내는 신학생이 희망적인 태도나 자세를 지니고 있는지, 앞으로 변화될 가능성이 있어서 사제성소를 살아갈 수 있는지에 대한 판단과 관련된다. 성소의 적성을 구체적으로 드러내는 보다 신뢰할 수 있는 요건들로서 자질이나 행동, 기능적 내용들이 있음을 확신하면서 성소를 성장시킬 수 있는 객관적인 요소들은 무엇인지를 인지해야 한다. 성소식별은 무엇보다도 일련의 결정

영문 초록

Priest formation process has an object to lead the future priest to transform to Christ features answering to the world necessity. It is as a part of education, and this is the core of the Seminary, which is the heart of faith community. Seminary as an educational community charges two formation functions. One is to mature and accelerate Vocation; the other is to confirm Vocation through discernment. Discernment takes major role in all formation process. The individuality who felt God's calling becomes the subject of formation's goal and process. During the formation, human education forms fundamental ground for maturity of Holy calling. In this view, future priest ought to be formatted to show good character, emotionally stable and matured, friendly, and self-control as a human. In this study, during the formation in the boundary of human education, examines the Church research papers related to practical discernment to find out how to apply, and what kind of purpose and criteria they have. It starts from the discernment goal and conditions then move to seminarian's aim or motivation, human nature, temperament those marks are closely related to human education goal. The purpose to be a priest and the motivation reveal the mark of Vocation. To mature this Vocation means that he takes the virtue of priesthood as to his important virtue, then to be changed. The value which seems to be important to him drives his personality. To understand how the acting motivation shows the Vocation mark is important. If seminarian shows definite value of Vocation he feels free mentally, if not the Vocation might be driven from compensation desire and emotional necessity. Through examining free will, emotional maturity and longing for priesthood, should remember there still lays the motivations to be purified. Through the education, seminarian formators are to realize the Vocation and to accompany with seminarian until the final decision to follow Christ. Most of all, through discernment, focus on God's will and act in the Holy Spirit existence and faith. The key to know that is real God's calling or not comes from the interpretation of which sees and conforms the accident and circumstances of people in the light of Gospel. To realize the circumstances and related peopled with the light of Gospel is the mark. Discernment requires techniques and capabilities to interpret the marks in whole aspect, because this discernment is made by human formator. Discernment requires educational sensibility to understand one human being deeply and specifically. Focus on each person's level of maturity or period of development. Gradual discernment process should give them the firm belief and assurance that discernment will be developed in education reliability and the unity of distinction. The discernment is to be examined in view of educational necessity, physical health, mental balance and stability, emotional and sexual maturity and desirable and also not desirable aspects. What are the criteria of general standard for discernment? How these criteria apply to formation process? Concrete examination is made not just positive or negative dimension. If absolute negative marks are found in formation, it means that the first step of discernment has started. In this step, try to search whether there lays abundant resources to overcome them beyond personal deficiency over negative marks. Discernment should be made in combining both the reality of Vacation and whole dimension of individuality. It is related to the judgment whether the seminarian who shows negative marks possesses hopeful attitude or holding the possibility to lead future priesthood. If there are confidences and reliabilities for concrete Vocation, then acknowledge objective factors for Vocation development. Above all, discernment applies to make a certain decision.
