치매노인 부양자의 우울과 부양부담감, 사회복지서비스 이용도에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 서울 및 경기지역 복지관을 이용하는 치매노인의 부양자를 대상으로 부양부담감과 우울정도, 사회복지서비스 이용도를 파악하여 부양자의 부양부담 및 우울정도를 경감시킬 수 있는 사회복지서비스 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 자료수집은 부양자 126명을 대상으로 일대일 면접을 통하여 이루어졌다. 연구결과 부양자의 부양부담감은 학력, 결혼상태, 건강상태에 따라, 우울정도는 학력, 건강상태에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 사회복지서비스이용도는 평균 1.67개의 서비스를 이용하고 있었다. 부양부담감, 우울정도, 사회복지서비스 이용도간의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 부양부담감과 우울정도 사이에 유의한 양적 상관관계가 있었다. 부양부담감의 하위영역 중 심리적 부담감, 신체적 부담감, 치매노인과 부양자관계의 부정적 변화는 우울정도에 영향을 미치는 주요한 변수들이었고, 이들의 설명력은 45.6%였다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 복지관을 이용하면서도 사회복지서비스의 이용정도는 낮았다는 점과 심리적 부담감, 신체적 부담감, 치매노인과 부양자관계의 부정적 변화가 부양자의 우울감을 증가시키는 요인으로 나타난 바와 같이 앞으로 치매노인의 부양자들이 느끼는 필요와 요구에 맞는 다양한 사회복지서비스의 개발과 서비스 이용의 접근성을 높일 수 있는 전략이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influencing factor on their depression and the relationship between the burden on families who live with an elderly person suffering from senile dementia, the degree of their depression, and the degree of social welfare service utilization. Sample collection was staying in Seoul and Kyonggi areas from October 9, 2004 to November 30, 2004. The data was analyzes, and the frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and Stepwise Multiple Regression were calculated. The results are as follows: The degree of care burden of the family caregiver was significantly dependent on educational level, marital status, and health status. The degree of depression of the family caregiver was significantly dependent on ducational level and health status. Social welfare service utilization was average 1.67. The relationship between the care burden and depression, which is statistically positive correlation in the high significant level. Psychological burden, physical burden, and negative change among demented elderly and caregiver were found to have direct effects on depression. These predictive variables of depression explained 45.6% of the model. In conclusion, to decrease burden of family caregiver, development of various social welfare service and increase service utilization.
