국문 초록

본 연구는 기존에 활용하고 있는 우리나라 노인학대 유형과 그 판별의 기준을 평가하고, 우리나라 현실에 맞는 노인학대 척도를 노인학대 유형을 중심으로 재구성하는 것을 주목적으로 3단계 과정을 통해 진행되었다. 이를 위해 첫째, 현재까지 사용되고 있는 노인학대 척도들을 평가하였다. 둘째, 기존 노인학대 척도 모형의 구성타당도를 검증한 결과 우리나라 노인학대 유형을 설명하는 모형으로는 적합하다 볼 수 없어, 노인학대 척도를 재구성하였다. 셋째, 재구성된 노인학대 유형이 유형별로 심각성에 실제적 차이가 유의미하게 나타나는지 알아보았다. 연구결과 현재까지 보편적으로 활용된 노인학대 유형과 그 구체적 행위의 구성이 적절한 모형이 아님을 확인하여, 기존 노인학대 평가 도구는 우리나라에서 사용하는데 한계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 현재 우리나라 현실에 맞는 노인학대 척도를 재구성하기 위해 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 6개의 노인학대 요인, 총 33개 문항을 찾아내었다. 6개의 노인학대 요인은 신체적 학대에 대한 행위가 2가지로 구분되어 이를 '신체적학대Ⅰ-안전위협', '신체적학대Ⅱ-직접상해'로 명하였으며, 그 외에는 기존의 유형과 유사한 행위들로 형성되어 각 요인명을 '언어ㆍ정서적 학대', '재정적 학대', '방임', '자기방임'이라 명하였다. 각 요인(노인학대 유형)들은 General Linear Model의 Repeated Measures(반복측정)와 6개 요인의 Pairwise Comparisons를 통해 심각성 차이가 유의미함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study is about the reconstruct of a elder abuse scale. The purpose is to identify the types of the elder abuse and to assess its severity. This study follows three phases: (1)evaluating the content validity of the scale items which were extracted from the previous researches and the elder abuse assessment tools, and constructing the model with the seven types of elder abuse, (2) performing the survey to the staffs working at the community facilities for elderly, and verifying the construct validity by the confirmatory factor analysis, and then reconstructing a new model through the explorative factor analysis because its construct validity is not verified, (3) analyzing the degree of severity differences between the types of elder abuse. As a result, the scale of 33 items was constructed with six types: The first type of elder abuse is 'physical abuse I- threat to safety', the second is 'physical abuse II-direct bodily injury ', the third is 'verbal and emotional abuse', the forth is 'financial abuse', fifth is 'neglect', and the last is 'self-neglect.' The severity differences between the types of elder abuse were significant through the Repeated measures of General Linear Model.
