노인의 성대처행동에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 성대처행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하여 우리사회의 노인들의 성대처행동을 이해하고, 성관련 문제들을 해결하기 위한 사회복지적 차원의 개입방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 문헌 및 성심리 검사 척도에 대한 고찰과 설문조사를 거쳐 노인의 성대처행동에 영향을 미치는 성지식, 성태도, 성대처행동의 3개 척도를 구성하였으며, 조사대상자들의 일반적 특성과 성지식, 성태도, 성대처행동 등을 살펴보고 변인들의 관계 및 이들 변인들이 성대처행동에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 일반적 특성에 따른 성지식은 남성, 교육수준과 경제수준이 높을수록 높게 나타났으며 독거하는 경우보다 부부 혹은 자녀와 동거하는 경우에 성지식 수준이 높았다. 둘째, 일반적 특성에 따라 성태도 유형의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 도덕적 성태도는 여성, 고령일수록, 독신상태, 자녀와 동거하는 경우, 낮은 교육수준에서 더 높았다. 합리적 성태도는 여성이, 전통적 성태도는 고령일수록 그리고 낮은 교육수준에서 더 높았고, 자유적 성태도는 교육수준이 높은 집단에서 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 성대처행동에서 표현적 유형에 영향을 미치는 변인은 성별, 결혼상태, 노인의식, 성지식, 전통적 성태도 등으로 나타났으며 이들 변인 중에서 성별이 가장 유의미하였다. 즉 남성, 기혼상태, 성지식의 수준이 높은 경우에 표현적 유형이 높았다. 그러나 노인 인식과 전통적 성태도는 표현적 유형에 부적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 통제적 유형에 영향을 미치는 변인은 건강상태, 성지식, 자유적 성태도, 도덕적 성태도 등으로 나타났다. 이들 변인 중에서 도덕적 성태도는 정적 관계, 건강과 성지식, 자유적 성태도 등의 변인과는 부적 관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 연구 결과에 기초하여 사회사업 실천적 함의와 실천 방향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This thesis has been conducted to examine the factors affecting on the sexual coping behavior among the elderly. For this purpose, three scales - sexual knowledge, sexual attitude and sexual coping behavior - are developed through the literature review and questionnaire survey. Also this is intended to understand the sexual behavior of the elderly and provide them with some basic data of the alternative measures for the healthy and satisfactory sexual life of the elderly. The statistically meaningful results are summarized as follows : First, they have more sexual knowledge in the male, higher education level, higher economic level, marital status, the group living with spouse or children. Second, among four sexual attitudes, the moral sexual attitude were shown higher in the female, the older aged, the single status, the group living with children and lower education level. And rational sexual attitude were shown higher in the female. The traditional sexual attitude were shown higher in the older aged and lower education level. The liberal sexual attitude were shown higher in the higher education level. Third, the expressive type of sexual coping behavior was effected positively by gender, marital status, old age consciousness, sexual knowledge and traditional sexual attitude. But there were negative correlations with the old age consciousness and traditional sexual attitude. On the other hand, the controlling type of sexual coping behavior was effected by health, sexual knowledge, liberal sexual attitude, and ethical sexual attitude. And in these factors, there was positive correlations with ethical sexual attitude, but there were negative correlations with the others.
