고등학교 상업교육의 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 변화된 사회와 학생들의 요구에 적합한 상업교육의 제공과 사회에서 필요로 하는 인력을 적절하게 공급하여 상업교육을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 탐색하여 보고자하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 설문조사를 통한 실증적 연구는 상업계 고등학교 재학생들의 입학동기 및 적응상황과 학교생활의 만족도 등의 실태를 조사하고 분석하여, 이를 통해 시대적 추세에 맞는 합리적인 진로교육의 방향을 모색하고, 취업교육과 진학교육이라는 두 가지 교육현실에 당면하고 있는 상업계 고등학교 학생들에게 새로운 가치관 형성을 위한 진로 선택에 올바른 방향을 제시하고 또한 상엽교육을 활성화시키는 방안의 근거자료를 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과 상업학교를 진학한 대부분의 학생은 학업성적이 좋지 않아서 진학한 경우가 대부분이었다. 또한 대부분의 학생들은 상업전문교과를 배우는데 있어서 내용이 어렵고 분량이 많다고 느끼며 학교생활만족도에서는 대부분은 낮은 만족도를 보였다. 상업교육의 활성화 방안을 위한 장기적인 고려사항으로서는 대학진학을 위한 기초교육의 확대로서 종래의 기능인력 양성을 위한 완성교육에서 동일계 학과의 전문대나 대학의 고등교육과 연계한 계속교육을 받을 수 있는 제도적 장치를 마련해야 하고, 취업에 대한 정보창구를 확대하고 취업 후 계속 교육을 위한 기회를 넓혀가며 직장생활의 자신감을 가질 수 있는 전문기능인력 양성을 위한 노력을 해야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide adequate commercial education to meet various needs of society and students and to foster capable manpower that can reestablish the original identity of commercial high schools. In order to achieve this goal, textual studies and surveys were conducted for substantial outcomes. First, textual studies were based on the analysis of various government reports and statistics, research theses and dissertations, and other collections. Second, substantial studies through surveys examined and analyzed the motivation, adaptation, career goals, educational needs, satisfaction with school life, and economic burden of commercial high school students. Results from the above to methods were used to find ways to achieve reasonable career education and provide useful guidelines to commercial high school students who are facing both career education and college entrance education so as to establish new viewpoints and identity in them. The following plans were derived to provide commercial education and manpower that satisfies the needs of society and students and reestablish the original identity of commercial high schools. First, most students entered commercial schools because their academic performance was unsatisfactory. Second, most students at commercial high schools were not very satisfied with their school life. Third, long-term considerations for the development of commercial high schools shall involve addition of fundamental education for college entrance. Commercial schools are focusing on fostering technicians, but need to provide curriculums that prepare students to pursue higher education. Fourth, it is necessary to reduce class sizes and induce outstanding students. Schools shall expand information booths for career search, increase opportunities for higher education, and foster students" confidence in their skills and career goals.
