포은 정몽주 사행시의 계량언어학적 접근

국문 초록

이 연구는 정몽주 사행시의 어휘 계량화를 통하여 문학적 다양성을 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 태도는 문학 연구의 다양한 방법을 모색하려는 한 방편으로 정몽주 사행시 작품 해석에 계량언어학이 일정한 기여를 하게 될 것이다. 이것은 문학과 언어학의 연구 지평을 넓히는 의의가 있다. 이 연구에서 계량언어학적인 방법으로 정몽주의 사행시를 분석하는 이유는, 어휘 빈도가 언어의 의미, 기능을 밝히는 데 매우 중요한 역할을 하며, 실제적인 언어 사용을 나타내는 것으로, 언어 사용의 경향성과 모습을 쉽게 관찰할 수 있기 때문이다. 이 연구에서 분석 대상으로 삼은 포은의 시문학 작품은, 중국 사행시 13편, 일본 사행시 13편, 모두 26편 1,152자의 한자 어휘이며, 부분적으로 도은 이숭인 중국 사행시 15편 795자의 한자 어휘를 비교 대상으로 삼는다. 정몽주 사행시에서 9회 이상 사용 빈도를 보인 글자는 天, 日, 海, 國, 人, 春, 年, 遠이다. 이 글자들은 거의 시 3편에 한 번꼴로 나타난 셈이어서 빈도수가 매우 높은 시어이다. 天, 日, 海, 春과 같은 어휘 형태는 자연과 가까운 어휘로서 정몽주 사행시에서 자연 친화적인 의미를 많이 담아내려 한 것이다. 또한 國, 人, 年, 遠과 같은 어휘는 사행시이기 때문에 나라와 관련된 일, 사람과 관련된 일 등을 많이 읊은 것으로 판단한다. 한자음 역시 '지'가 29회, '사'가 27회, '수'가 23회, '천'이 21회, '상, 일'이 19회, 사용되었다. 6개의 한자음이 모두 138회 사용되었으니, 사용 빈도가 높은 음이다.

영문 초록

This study aims at examining diverse literary aspects through a quantitative analysis of vocabulary used in Poeun Jeong-ju's poetry of diplomatic mission. This research approach is a way to try various methods of literary study and will contribute to the interpretation of Jeong Mong-ju's works with quantitative linguistics. Thus, it has its significance in expanding research horizons of literature and linguistics. The reason for analysing Jeong Mong-ju's poems written in his diplomatic missions with the methodology of quantitative linguistics is that the vocabulary frequency plays a crucial role in clarifying the meaning and function of words and observing the trend and aspect of language usages as it deals with actual applications of speech. The subject of this study includes Poeun's 13 poems written in Chinese diplomatic missions and 13 poems created while in Japan, 26 poems made up of 1,152 Chinese characters in total and in part, Mokeun Lee Saek's 3 poems of Chinese missions comprised of 140 Chinese letters. The Chinese characters used over 9 times in Jeong Mongju's diplomatic mission poems are 天, 日, 海, 國, 春, 年, 遠, and 人. As these letters appeared nearly once in 2 poems, they reveal a very high frequency. The characters 天, 日, 海, and 春 are related to the nature, so it is thought that Jeong Mong-ju wanted to contain the nature-friendly tenor in his poetic works of diplomatic misson. The letters 國, 年, 遠 and 人 make us judge that his poems dealt with a lot of national affairs and human relations. The pronunciation of Chinese characters includes 29 times of 'ji', 27 times of 'sa', 23 times of 'su', 21 times of 'cheon', and 19 times of 'sang' and 'il'. These 6 sounds are used 138 times in total, so these are high frequency ones.
