인간욕망의 극복을 위한 4중의 신앙영성의 원리에 대한 성서적 연구

국문 초록

기독교의 복음은 예수 그리스도 안의 모든 그리스도인을 하나님 앞에서 이미 욕망과 죄, 심판과 사망에서 구원받고 의로워진 존재로 선포하고 있다. 그러나 모든 자성적인 그리스도인들은 구원받았다고 하면서도 아직도 자기 자신의 내면과 삶 속에 깊이 죄의 근원인 욕망이 여전히 활동하고 살아있음을 경험하고 인식한다. 그래서 이 이론과 현실의 괴리는 구원의 진정성을 담보하기 위하여 인간의 근본적인 욕망을 제어하고 극복하는 영성원리와 실제적 신앙훈련을 요청한다. 주지하는 바와 같이 욕망은 모든 인간의 불행과 죄의 근원으로 아담과 하와의 타락 설화에서 명백하게 제시되어 있다. 그리고 예수 그리스도의 광야시험 기사에 나타나는 것처럼 생존의 욕망, 소유의 욕망 그리고 지배의 욕망은 인간의 가장 원초적인 욕망에 속한다. 본 논문은 성서로부터 욕망에 대한 정의와 그 구조적 틀을 제시하면서 이를 극복하는 원론적인 방법으로 성서연구를, 실천적인 방법으로 금식과 구제 그리고 기도를 기독교 신앙의 영성훈련의 구체적 방법으로 제시한다. 특히 3가지 실천적 방법은 일반적으로 구복신앙의 수단으로 오용된 것을 필자는 지적한다.

영문 초록

Christian gospel proclaims that all Christian in Jesus Christ already are beings coram Deo justified and saved from desire, sin, God’s Judgement, and death. But all the introspective Christians, in despite of fully convincing their own salvation, are experiencing and well aware that desire as essential root of all sins is still active and alive profoundly in their own inner side and life. Thus, in order to guarantee the authenticity of salvation, this paradox between theory and reality requires inevitably the spiritual principle and practical faith training for overcoming and controlling all fundamental desires of human being. As generally known, desire as the prime cause of sin and unfortune of mankind is clearly shown in the biblical myth of Adam and Eve’s Fall. And, as described in the story of Jesus Christ’s temptation in the wilderness, desires of existence, possession, and power belong to the most primitive desires of human being. With proposing the theological definition of human desire and its structural frame from the bible, this paper suggests the bible study as theoretical method, and on the other side fast, charity and prayer as the practical methods getting rid of human desire.
