농촌 다문화가족 아동의 가족생활만족도와 자아정체성에 따른 또래관계에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 농촌 다문화가족 자녀들의 자아정체성과 가족생활만족도 및 또래관계에 관해 살펴보고자 다문화가족 자녀 171명을 대상으로 연구하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 다문화가족자녀의 가족생활만족도는 어머니의 한국어 능력 및 어머니 문화에 대한 호감도에 따라서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 농촌 다문화가족 자녀의 자아정체성은 어머니의 한국어 능력 및 어머니 문화에 대한 호감도에 따라서 차이를 나타냈는데, 그 중에서도 어머니 문화의 호감도 차이가 자녀의 자아정체성에 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 셋째, 다문화가족 자녀의 또래관계는 학교성적과 따돌림경험 유무, 어머니 나라 문화에 대한 호감도에 따라서 또래 관계에 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 아동의 가족생활만족도, 자아정체성, 또래관계 간의 상호관련성에 있어서는 상호 정적인 상관관계를 보였으며, 다섯째, 다문화가족 자녀의 또래관계에는 자아정체성과 어머니나라 문화호감도, 가족생활만족도가 설명력 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 이는 다문화가족 자녀의 자아정체성 수준이 높을수록, 어머니나라문화에 호감도가 높을수록, 가족생활에 대한 만족수준이 높을수록 원만한 또래관계를 예측할 수 있다. 이에 농촌다문화가족 자녀의 자아정체성과 어머니 나라 문화에 대한 호감도 및 가족생활만족도를 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 제공하는 것이 또래관계를 포함한 사회적 역량을 강화시킬 수 있는 중요한 요소로 다뤄져야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

In this study, authors investigated factors which affect ego-identity, family life satisfaction and interpersonal relationship of the children of multicultural families in rural South Korea. Surveys on peer relationships according to the life satisfaction and the ego-identity were conducted on 171 children of multicultural families. The results of this study are as follows : First, the life satisfaction varied with Korean fluency of their mothers and the degree of likability of their mothers' cultures. Second, ego-identity of the children varied with Korean fluency of their migrant mothers and the degree of likability of their mothers' cultures, particularly, the more they accepted their mothers' cultures favorably, the more solid ego-identity formation were shown. Third, peer relationships of multicultural children varied with academic achievement, experience of being bullied and the degree of likability of their mothers' cultures. Forth, positive correlation was shown among life satisfaction, ego-identity and interpersonal relationship. Finally, life satisfaction, ego-identity and likability of mothers' cultures were significant factors on interpersonal relationship of the children of multicultural families. Amicable peer relationships of multicultrual children were closely related to the high level of ego-identity, likability of mothers' cultures and family life satisfaction. Based on these results, authors suggested that educational considerations for the children should be discussed to promote their capability in managing interpersonal relationship and establishment the ego-identity, which include opportunities for these children to be exposed to their mothers' cultures and program interventions for all the family members to find ways for successful functioning.
