국문 초록

사상 연구는 아직 독립적인 학문으로 정립되어 있지 못하여 연구 방법이나 대상이 다양하고, 접근 방법 또한 명확하게 확립되어 있지 않아 정치사상, 경제사상, 사회사상, 예술사상, 종교사상, 윤리사상, 문학사상, 교육사상 등 여러 종류의 사상들이 다양한 접근방법들을 통해 연구되고 있다. 교육사상은 인간상, 다음 세대에 대한 기대, 자연적, 사회적 조건의 변화가 인간의 성장 발달에 초래한 영향에 대한 생각, 교육의 목적, 내용, 방법, 제도에 관한 종합적인 관념 등을 토대로 하여 성립된다. 이 연구는 교육사상의 연구 방법에 관한 한 시도로서 여기에서 말하는 교육사상이란 교육의 이론과 실제에 관한 체계적인 인식으로서 교육관, 교육철학과 같은 의미로 쓰이기도 하지만 교육현상에 관한 관념적인 대안으로서 교육의 목적을 실현하기 위한 원리들을 체계적으로 서술하고 있는 것을 지칭한다. 본 연구에서는 교육사상의 연구 방법을 역사적인 접근과 철학적인 접근으로 대별하고, 구체적인 접근 방법으로서 문헌적인 접근법에서부터 변증법적, 비판이론적 접근법까지 여러 연구 방법들을 개관한 후 교육사상 연구의 한계를 제시하였다. 교육사상의 연구는 연구 대상과 연구자의 접근 방법에 따라 다양하게 연구될 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 역사적, 철학적인 접근 방법은 서로 협력하고 서로 보완하고 통합되어야 교육사상의 전체적인 온전한 파악이 가능해 질 것이다.

영문 초록

Research of thought of education is not yet an established field of study, which leads to various research methods and subjects regarding this field. Also, the approach to this field of study is not clearly established making these studies become a research approached through a variety of thoughts such as political, economical, social, artistic, spiritual, literary, and educational thoughts. Thought of education is established on the basis of expectations on the next generation, thoughts of the influences of the changing environmental and social conditions on the development of mankind, and the overall idea of the purpose, text, method, and system of education. This study attempts an essay of research methods of thought of education. The thought of education mentioned here means not only a systematic view of education regarding theory and practice, but it also includes an alternative view in educational practices, which describes the principles in fulfilling the purpose of education. This study classifies the research methods of educational thought according to historical and philosophical approaches. The specific approach to these methods were to use literary, dialectic, and critical ways, which are overviewed in this essay. Research of educational thought can be studied variously according to the approach of the researcher and subject of study. However, both historical and philosophical approaches should be used in cooperation, and supplement and integrate each other in order to fully comprehend thought of education.
