업종별 물류기업의 효율성과 생산성에 관한 실증연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 물류기업의 경영실적을 이용하여 자료포락분석(DEA)과 맘퀴스트분석(MPI)을 통해 효율성과 생산성을 분석하고 추이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한, 업종별 효율성과 연도별 추이를 실증 분석하고자 하였다. 분석대상은 화물운송업(육상, 해상)과 물류시설운영업 86개사를 대상으로 9년간 경영실적(2001년∼2009년)을 이용하였다. 투입물은 노동, 자산, 운영비용으로 산출물은 매출액과 영업이익을 이용하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 업종별 효율성은 육상화물운송업 0.5932, 해상화물운송업 0.3002, 물류시설운영업은 0.4945로 나타나 3개 업종 중 육상회물운송업의 효율성이 가장 높았으며, 해상화물운송업의 효율성이 타업종에 비해 상대적은 상당히 낮은 것으로 나타나 시장의 구조조정 또는 지원 등 대책이 팔요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 생산성 분석결과 3개 업종 모두 1보다 낮은 것으로 나타나 생산성이 낮아진 것으로 나타났으며, 이중 특히 물류시설운영업이 0.986으로 가장 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 시기별 생산성 변화지수를 살펴보면, 2008∼2009년 화물운송업의 생산성이 급격히 낮아진 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 효율성이 높게 나타난 물류기업의 생산성은 기술 변화보다 규모의 효율화를 통해 이룬 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze DEA and MPI of Korea Logistics Firms. The analysis targeted 86 Logistics Firms and was conducted for 9 years from 2001 to 2009. As a results, the Logistics Firms should make efforts to enhance their operational efficiency for adapting the rapid change of logistics environments. Therefore, according to the logistics environment, it is very important that the logistics should be development the efficiency. Based on previous researches, the input variables of this study are the cost of labor, assets, operation and variables of outputs are sales, operating profit. The major results of the study ate as follow : First, the overall efficiency of logistics companies gradually deteriorating. Second, it showed that the average efficiency decline in the overall. Third, Malmquist productivity index (MPI) showed a decline in according to the economic conditions. Productivity differences appear in the top company as this is considered a custom policy prescription is required between logistics enterprises.
