국문 초록

본 연구는 유아 대상의 음악교육에서 유아들이 직접 자신들의 음악적 리듬감을 그림악보로 표현하도록해 보고, 이러한 방법이 갖는 의미를 탐구하기 위한 목적을 갖고 있다. 연구에 참여한 유아들은 기존의 리듬교육과는 달리 매우 적극적으로 수업에 참여하였고, 자신들만의 경험과 느낌에 기초한 고유한 아이콘들을 만들고 설명하는 것에 적극적이었다. 그림악보 그리기를 통해 악보를 보는 법을 익히게 되면 음악적 이론을 알지 못해도 그 곡에 표현되어 있는 음표의 리듬을 이해할 수 있다는 강점이 있다. 이는 교사가 일괄적으로 설명하고 악보를 보여주는 것보다 유아들이 능동적으로 음악적 표현에 참여할 수 있는 가능성이 높아질 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 즉, 언어적 표현이 제한되어 있는 유아들에게 악보를 말로 설명해서 익히게 하는 것보다 자신이 직접 그림을 그려서 자신만의 악보로 소화하게 하는 것이 보다 효과적이며 유의미한 음악이해 방식이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 그림악보 그리기는 다양한 방식으로 원용해 나갈 수 있으며 통합적 유아 음악교육의 매우 중요한 도구가 될 수 있을 것이다. 아울러 유아교육을 담당하는 교사들 역시 이러한 그림악보 그리기를 활용한 음악교육 방법론의 장점을 긍정적으로 평가하였다.

영문 초록

This research project was conducted to see the application of integrated music education for preschoolers, especially the method of expressing the musical feelings and reactions of children through picture scores and their meanings. According to the research, children participated in drawing interesting picture scores using various illustrations and icons on the basis of their own experience and understanding. Unlike traditional music education on score, children actively participated in class and were interested in making original icons based on their own experience, feelings and explaining them. The strength of learning how to see the sheet music through drawing picture scores is that you will be able to express the length of the notes in music without knowing music theory. This means that there will be more chances for children to actively participate in musical expression compared with teachers explaining and showing scores en bloc. In other words, it is a more effective and meaningful method of understanding music to let children draw pictures and digest them as their own scores than to describe in words because their verbal expression is so limited. Picture score can be used in various ways and can be a very important tool in music education for preschoolers. In addition, teachers who are responsible for early childhood education had common understanding on the strengths of drawing picture scores as a means of integrated music education. This research is meaningful because it points out the necessity of various researches on drawing picture scores in the future.
