국문 초록

2011년에 해킹에 따른 대규모의 개인정보 유출 사건이 줄을 이었다. 개인정보에 대한 해킹과 유출은 한국의 주민번호와 실명제 때문에 더 심각한 결과로 나타나지만 정보자본주의 체제의 문화 변동 속에서 벌어진다. 이를 분석하기 위해 정보자본주의에서 개인정보가 상품으로서 갖는 특수성, 그 가치 생산을 위한 고용된 정보노동과 자발적 이용자노동, 그리고 자발적 정보의 공유와 공개를 진작시키는 정보문화의 변동을 살펴본다. 특히 포스트포드주의와 정보제어 자본주의 그리고 포스트프라이버시의 정보문화가 연동하며 나타나는 문화 변동은 오늘날의 웹2.0–소셜–모바일 뉴미디어 환경에서 이용자는 개인정보의 노출과 유출을 통해 자기 표현하고, 정보기업은 그 이용자노동을 포획하고 전유하는 과정을 포함한다. 이러한 논의를 토대로 하여 해킹 및 개인정보 유출이 어떻게 정보범죄의 사건으로서만이 아니라 정보자본주의의 구조적 차원에서 발생하고 있는지 외부 해킹, 내부 유출, 이용자노동의 세 차원에서 규명한다. 이들 모두 개인정보의 해킹ㆍ유출이 정보자본주의의 내재적 논리와 연관되어 있음을 드러낸다.

영문 초록

There have been a serial of serious hacking accidents resulting in the large amount of personal information(PI) leakages in 2011. It could be said that these accidents have taken place not only because of the unique resident number system and the Internet real name system in South Korea, but because of a certain mechanism of information capitalism. In order to analyze the latter in particular, I focus on the character of PI as a specific commodity, voluntary user labour as well as employed information labour to produce its (commodity) value, and information cultural transformation to foster the active information sharing and opening. That could be specially found in the information cultural transformation combined and Intertwined with factors from post-Fordism, cybernetic capitalism, and post-privacy culture, in which each individual living in the environment of web2.0-Social-mobile media tends to voluntarily expose and self-leak her/his PI for the sake of the personal expressions and efforts to maintain social relationships, and then the information corporate enterprises capture it for their profit-making. Based on these arguments, I suggest that the accidents of hacking and PI leakages should be considered as the issue of structural transformations of the information culture in information capitalism.
