보육교사의 신체적ㆍ정신적 건강상태와 소진에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 B시에 소재하는 어린이집에 재직 중인 교사 265명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 보육교사의 신체적ㆍ정신적 건강 및 소진상태 정도와 교사의 연령과 근무시간에 따라 신체적ㆍ정신적 건강 및 소진상태가 어떠한지를 알아보고 신체적ㆍ정신적 건강과 소진의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 자료 분석으로는 SPSS WIN 18.0을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차, t- 검증, Pearson 상관분석을 하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면, 보육교사는 정신적 건강 영역보다는 신체적 건강영역에서 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났고 특히 만성피로를 많이 느끼고 있었다. 소진영역의 경우, 정서적 고갈을 많이 경험하고 있었다. 보육교사의 연령이 어릴수록 만성피로를 더 많이 느끼고 있으며 근무시간이 길수록 신체건강의 전 영역에서 더 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 정신적 건강영역에서는 무력감을, 소진영역에서는 비인간화를 더 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 신체적 건강문제를 많이 경험할수록 무력감과 소진을 더 많이 경험하고 불안을 덜 느끼는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study was to analyze the relationship between child care teacher's physical health, mental health and burnout. The subjects were 265 child care teachers in Busan. For the analysis of the data, M(SD), t-test, Pearson's correlation were run by using SPSS-WIN computer program. The major findings of this study are as following: First, child care teachers experienced more difficulties on physical health problem than mental health, especially on chronic fatigue. In case of burnout, they experienced more emotional exhaustion. Teachers who are in a younger aged group experienced more difficulties on chronic fatigue than older aged group. The group of teachers who have longer working hours group experienced more difficulties on most of the physical health problems, helplessness, depersonalization than relatively shorter working hours group. Teachers who have more difficulties on health problems, feel helplessness and burnout but, feel less anxiety. The result of this study can be used as the basic data for development of a program to promote child care teacher's physical health, mental health and to reduce burnout.
