상보적 수업을 활용한 그림읽기가 유아의 창의성 향상에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

그림읽기 활동은 유아들의 지식 획득, 언어능력 향상, 대인관계 증진 등에 효과적일 뿐만 아니라 상상력, 독창성 등의 창의성 향상에도 효과적이다. 본 연구에서는 그림읽기를 유아들이 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 유도하는 상보적 수업활동을 통해 진행함으로써 창의적 능력뿐만 아니라 창의적인 성격향상에도 효과가 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 5세 유아 20명을 무선 선정하여 실험집단과 통제집단에 각 10명씩 무선 배정하였으며, 실험집단 유아들에게는 상보적 수업활동을 통해 그림책을 이용한 그림읽기 수업을 실시하였고, 통제집단 유아들은 상보적 수업활동 없이 그림책 활용 수업에 참여하였다. 총 10차시의 수업이 진행되었으며, 두 집단 유아 모두‘유아용 통합 창의성 검사’로 사전, 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 실험 후, 상보적 수업활동의 효과를 검증하기 위해 집단 간 차이(t-test)를 확인하였다. 연구결과, 상보적 수업활동을 경험한 실험집단 유아들은 통합창의성, 언어, 도형 창의성 등 창의적 능력에 있어서 통제집단 유아들과 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 창의적 성격에 있어서의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 본 연구결과 그림읽기의 상보적 수업활동이 유아의 창의적 능력향상에 효과가 있음이 확인되었으므로 유아들의 창의성 지도를 위한 수업방법으로 상보적 수업활동을 적용할 수 있기를 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify effects of reciprocal teaching on young children’s creativity improvement. The participants of this study were randomly selected from 5-aged 20 young children of kindergarten located in Seoul. The 20 young children were allocated in two groups. Experimental group with 10 children experienced picture reading activities using reciprocal teaching and control group with 10 children only participated on regular kindergarten reading program. Integrated creativity test used for pre and post test for young children. The data were analyzed with t-test in order to verify differences between two groups. First, it was found that picture reading activities using reciprocal teaching had influences on improvement of young children’s integrated creativity. Second, we examined that picture reading activities using reciprocal teaching had impacts on improvement of young children’s linguistic creativity ability. Third, picture reading activities using reciprocal teaching had positive effects on improvement of young children’s figure creativity ability. Fourth, young children who experienced reciprocal teaching showed higher score in creative personality than control group. But it wasn’t significant differences statistically. This result means that short time experience in picture reading activities using reciprocal teaching wasn’t enough to improve the creative personality. This study would give some implications to develop creativity education programs for young children. Picture reading activities of picture book using reciprocal teaching has been viewed as an useful learning program to foster young children’s creativity.
