요한계시록의 생태신학적 해석의 적합성

국문 초록

환경보호와 환경에 대한 사람의 청지기 자세에 관한 신학적 이해가 점증하고 있다. 이 글은 하나님의 창조의 완성을 다루는 요한계시록의 생태신학적 해석의 적합성에 관해서 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해서, (1) 생태 신학의 정의와 전개과정을 간략히 살피고, (2) 요한계시록의 기록목적과 해석방법을 논하고, 마지막으로 (3) 요한계시록의 생태신학적 해석이 생태계의 파괴와 관련하여 가지는 제한된 적합성을 유대-로마 전쟁과 팍스 로마나(Pax Romana)정책을 통해 살피고, (4) 생태계의 회복과 관련된 생태신학적 해석의 제한된 적합성을 네 생물의 경배와 만유를 새롭게 하시는 그리스도의 재창조 사역의 관점에서 연구할 것이다. 이 글은 계시록의 내용이 AD 1세기에 문자적으로 성취될 경우와 예수님께서 신천지를 통해서 만유를 회복하시는 종말론적인 경우에만 생태신학적 해석이 제한적으로 적합함을 밝힌다.

영문 초록

The concern of the environment preservation and the environmental stewardship from Christian’s theological understanding have been increased. This paper investigates the relevance of ecotheological interpretation of the Book of Revelation. In order to meet this aim, the following steps are probed: (1) short survey on the definition and development of ecotheology, (2) the purpose and proper interpretive method of the book of Revelation, finally (3) the relevance of ecotheological interpretation of Revelation in terms of the destruction of eco-system from the Jewish-Roman War and Pax Romana policy, and (4) the relevance of ecotheological interpretation of Revelation in terms of the restoration of ecosystem in the light of the worship of the four living beings and Christ's recreational and renewal work of all. This paper is to demonstrate that the book of Revelation allows a limited relevance of ecotheological interpretation in two cases: first, the literary fulfillment of the book of Revelation in the first century, second, Christ’s eschatological fulfillment of panta through the New Heaven and the New Earth.
