국문 초록

기업들은 비즈니스 프로세스 혁신을 위해 신기술 도입에 관심을 가지고 있다. 최근 기업들은 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification)에 관심을 갖고 있다.RF그러나 기업들의 RFID 기술에 대한 많은 관심에도 불구하고, RFID 태그 인식 문제, RFID 시스템 구축비용, ROI(Return on Investment)구현 시기 등은 기업의 RFID 도입의지를 저하시키고 있다. 세계적인 경기침체는 기업의 불황을 유발시키고, 이는 기업의 IT(Information Technology)투자를 축소시키는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 그러므로 기업들은 RFID 기술에 대한 투자를 통해 RFID 시스템을 도입할 경우 유용성을 창출해 줄것이라는 긍정적인 인식을 하고 있음에도 불구하고, 적극적인 투자가 이루어지지 않고 있다. 그 이유는 기업들이 위험 상황 하에서 RFID 기술 도입에 소극적이며, RFID 시스템 도입과 기존 정보시스템의 연계에 대한 인식 차이가 존재하며, 더불어 RFID 도입을 통한 경영혁신을 목표 달성에도 신뢰감 결여 때문이다. 이러한 영향 요인들은 기업의 RFID 도입의지에 부정적 영향을 미칠 것이다. 더불어 기업의 SCM(Supply Chain Management) 구현을 위한 IT 도입은 중요하기 때문에 IT 자원역량 강화는 RFID 성공적 구현에 중요한 영향을 미칠 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서 RFID 도입을 준비하는 기업을 대상으로 RFID 위험 인식 수준에 따른 IT자원역량, RFID 적합성, 신뢰가 RFID 도입 의도에 미치는 영향 관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 기업에게 RFID 도입의지에 대한 위험관리 방안, 적합성 개선, 신뢰 차원에서 성공적인 RFID 도입을 위한 유용한 전략적 시사점을 제공해 줄 것이다.

영문 초록

Currently, a number of companies that pursue innovations in business processes are expressing considerable interest in adopting a new technology, that is Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID). RFID, which is one of the currently popular new technologies, is recently also an object of attention for many companies. However, despite the growing interest, problems, such as RFID tag recognition, cost of RFID system implementation, and time for realizing the Return on Investment (ROI), are weakening companies’ will to adopt RFID. In addition, the current economic recession is also one of the reasons why investment in Information Technology (IT) is low. This is why companies are passive in terms of committing to invest in RFID, even though they recognize that the RFID system implementation that is achieved through such investment would bring about productivity gains. Thus, a proper risk management is crucial to successful RFID adoption. Moreover, since RFID is a core infrastructure for Supply Chain Management (SCM) implementation, an organization’s IT resource capability also considerably affects RFID implementations and should be in abundance. When the IT resource capability is high, RFID organizational fits that influence trust will improve. Eventually, trust influences the intention to adopt RFID and promotes RFID adoption. Therefore, this study adopted RFID risk factors as a control variable, while analyzing the relationships between the RFID resource capability, RFID organizational fit, trust, and intention to adopt RFID. The research results will provide helpful strategic implications for RFID adoption.
