영문 초록

In Yongin region, all sorts of development projects have been conducted here and there and urbanization has progressed, whereas large-scale excavation researches have been executed in so many sites. Many excavation researches carried out so played the role of providing the considerable level of data in restoring the history of Yongin. Such data filled up many missing parts in the process of restoring the history of Yongin around the existing literature from the Old Stone Age(the Paleolithic Age) through the New Stone Age(the Neolithic Age) and the Bronze Age to the Three Kingdom Age, the United Silla Dynasty, Goryeo Dynasty, and Joseon Dynasty. Also, such data provided the clues for understanding more correctly the aspects of societies and cultures in those days, which had not been found in the literature. That is, the performance of excavation researches enabled us to make new approaches to not only the prehistoric age, about which there had been no literature in preceding studies, and the ancient age, about which preceding studies should have started with insufficient literature, but also the Middle Age, about which there had already been diverse studies executed through much literature. The problem is how a lot of data collected so through excavation researches will be utilized for restoring the history and culture of Yongin. It is impossible to restore the history immediately only with the specific relics and remains chronologized in specific times. Because there can occur the mistake that enumerating the data collected through excavation researches replaces the history. Only if we find the context appropriate to the situation of ages and regions, that is, the historical context, it is possible to interpret rationally the history. With such problem consciousness, the purpose of this study is to arrange entirely the cultural relics of Yongin region around the relics identified in recent excavation researches. Through this, the another purpose of this study is to arrange systematically and reconstruct newly the history of Yongin. However, in this process, this study also confirmed the limitation that this study did not reflect fully even the performance of existing excavation researches. Therefore, this study will complement continuously this limitation.
