국문 초록

본 연구는 상사의 감성지능이 팀 만족 및 팀 성과에 미치는 영향과 함께 변혁적 리더십이 상사의 감성지능과 팀 만족, 팀 성과 간의 관계를 매개하는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 수행을 위한 자료는 11개 조직, 84개 팀(팀장 1명, 팀원 3명)으로부터 데이터를 수집하였고, 최종 분석에는 74개 팀(팀장 74명, 팀원 213명)의 자료를 이용하였다. 연구결과, 상사의 감성지능은 변혁적 리더십에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있으며, 변혁적 리더십은 팀 만족, 팀 성과 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 변혁적 리더십은 상사의 감성지능과 팀 만족 및 팀 성과 간의 관계를 완전 매개하고 있음을 발견하였다. 이 결과는 상사의 감성지능이 팀 만족 및 팀 성과에 직접적으로 영향을 주기보다는 변혁적 리더십을 매개로 간접적으로 영향을 미치고 있음을 의미한다. 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 시사점과 한계점 및 향후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of a leader’s emotional intelligence on team satisfaction and performance. In addition, we attempt to verify the mediating effect of transformational leadership on the relationships between a leader’s emotional intelligence, and team satisfaction and team performance. To test the proposed hypotheses in our study, we collect data via a survey on data supervisors and their subordinates in 11 organizations, and a total of 74 team(comprising 74 supervisors and 213 subordinates) data are used for analysis. The major findings are as follows: First, a leader’s emotional intelligence is positively associated with transformational leadership. Second, transformational leadership is closely related to team satisfaction and team performance. Third, transformation leadership has turned out to have a full mediation effect on the relationship between a leader’s emotional intelligence and team performance, as well as the relationship between a leader’s emotional intelligence and team satisfaction. That is, this result indicates that a leader’s emotional intelligence indirectly effects on team satisfaction and team performance through transformational leadership. Based on the findings, we discuss some implications and suggest recommendations for future research.
