창의성검사와 나무그림검사와의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 HTP 투사 검사 중 나무그림검사를 이용하여 일반아동과 창의성이 높은 아동들의 나무그림에서 나타나는 차이와 특성을 찾아보고 나무그림 검사를 통한 창의성의 측정 여부를 살펴보고자 하였고, 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 가. 창의성 검사와 나무그림검사의 총점 및 하위 요인 점수 간의 상관은 어떠한가? 나. 나무그림검사의 총점 및 하위 요인 점수는 창의성의 하위요소인 유창성, 독창성, 개방성, 민감성을 어느 정도 예측할 수 있는가? 본 연구는 광주시내에 위치한 A초등학교에 재학 중인 1학년 3개 반 76명을 대상으로 나무그림검사와 초등도형 창의성 검사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료들의 통계분석은 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 창의성 검사와 나무그림검사 간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였고, 창의성의 하위요소인 유창성, 독창성, 민감성, 개방성에 대한 나무그림검사 점수의 영향력을 살펴보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 유창성, 독창성, 민감성, 창의성 총점은 나무그림검사 총점과 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 그러나 개방성과 나무그림검사 총점과의 상관은 유의하지 않았다. 유창성, 독창성, 민감성, 창의성 총점이 높을수록 나무그림검사 총점이 낮다는 것을 알 수 있다. 나무그림검사의 점수가 낮다는 것은 정서적으로 안정상태를 의미한다. 창의성 검사와 나무그림검사 하위요소와의 관계에서는 개방성, 민감성, 총점은 가지와 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 개방성, 민감성, 총점이 높을수록 나무그림검사 중 가지의 점수가 낮다는 것을 알 수 있다. 나무그림의 점수수준이 높을수록 그렇지 않은 아동에 비해 일상생활에서나 또는 각 개인 내적으로 정서적 불안정성이 높거나 부적응 등을 가지고 있을 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purposes of the current study are to find the differences and characteristics of highly creative and average creative children using Koch(1952) tree-drawing test and to investigate the relationships among the total and subfactor scores of K-FCTES (Korean Figural Creativity Test for Elementary school Students)(Jeon & Jeon, 2008) and the tree-drawing test. The research questions are as follows. What is the difference between the total scores of K-FCTES and the tree-drawing test? What are the relationships among the subfactor scores of K-FCTES (i.e., fluency, originality, openness and sensitivity scores) and the subfactor scores of the tree drawing test? 76 first grade students from the two classes in an elementary school located in Gwangju area participated in the present study, and a series of correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted on the collected data in order to answer the research questions. The results show that the fluency, originality, sensitivity scores and the total score of K-FCTES had statistically significant negative correlations with the total score of the tree-drawing test. However, there is no statistically significant correlation between openness score and the total score of the tree-drawing test. Other major findings about the relationships among the total and subfactor scores of K-FCTES and the tree-drawing test are also presented, and the implications with respects to the potential uses of the tree-drawing test for the assessment of creative potential are suggested.
