국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 고령친화용품 공급자의 특성과 고령용품 유통의 문제점을 분석하고 이를 해결하기 위한 정책적 방안을 제시한다. 고령친화용품 공급자는 관련 산업의 급속한 성장에도 불구하고 영세성, 낮은 전업도, 신생기업 위주라는 특성을 가지고 있다. 유통에서의 문제점으로는 고령친화상품 시장의 미성숙, 정보부족, 체계적인 지원, 및 영세성에서 오는 마케팅상의 어려움 등이 파악되었다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 정책방안으로는 렌탈서비스의 활성화를 통한 잠재수요의 현시화, 제도정비 및 인증/표준화 도입, 영세성에서 오는 약점을 극복하기 위한 공동브랜드 개발, 전문인력 양성, 시니어체험관의 활용도 제고, 적극적인 R&D 개발을 유인하기 위한 제도 등이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes characteristics of suppliers in elders's commodity and distribution of the elders' commodity in order to offer some policy measures to promote the elders' commodity industry. Manufactures of the elders' commodity are characterized as being small sizes, newly established, and multi-product firms, which means that they produce not only the elders' good but also other sorts of products. Regarding distribution, the market is characterized as being not matured, insufficient information in circulation, systemetic support program, inability in marketing strategies thanks to small size. To deal with those problems, some policy measures are suggested; promoting rental market in order to materialize potential demand, establishing laws and regulations for standardization of the commodity Quality, developing co-brand, utilizing Senior Experience Center, and introducing R&D incentives.
