영문 초록

This purpose of this study is to identify and suggest problems and solutions in the operation and material management under the FTA based on a survey and analysis of the present situation and operation of the MFTZ. To achieve this, this study examined the FTZ and the FTA through previous research. Then, it introduced an approach to solve the problems about the operation and the material management system through "a survey on the material management system of the MFTZ by the FTA" and interviews with the association of firms in the MFTZ. As a result, five problems are exhibited, (1) lack of incentive to positively attract foreign investments, (2) insufficiency of space for the MFTZ and the system to operate and effectively manage the space, (3) difficulty caused by the change in functions and systems, (4) unstable labor-management relations, and (5) weakening of comparative advantage caused by the reservation of customs duties according to FTA.
