국문 초록

본 연구는 일반중학교에 재학 중인 장애학생 3명의 수학교과 시간에 팀 기반 통합지원을 제공한 팀원들을 대상으로 팀 기반 통합지원 과정에서의 팀원 간 인식을 검토한 질적연구이다. 장애학생들에 대한 팀 기반 통합지원을 제공하기 위하여, 수학교사 2인, 특수교사 1인, 특수교육보조원 2인으로 구성된 협력적 자문팀을 구성한 후, 문제해결과정을 거쳐 통합지원을 16주 동안 실행하였다. 이 문제해결과정에 대한 참여관찰과 팀원들에 대한 심층면담을 통해 수집된 자료들을 분석한 결과, 장애학생들의 일반학급 수업참여에 대한 시각, 일반학급 수업참여의 저해요인, 일반학급 수업참여를 위한 노력.협력, 문제해결과정에 대한 반응 등 4개의 주 주제와 12개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 이 결과로부터 일반교육과 특수교육이라는 이원화된 구조 하에서 현재 실행되고 있는 중학교 통합교육의 제한성에 대한 인식을 극복하고 효과적인 통합교육 실행을 위한 주요인이 협력임을 알 수 있었으며, 이는 중등 통합교육의 지원모델로서 팀 기반 통합지원의 활용 가능성과 학교 차원의 통합지원 팀의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Students with disabilities attending general middle schools have many difficulties with academic tasks presented in general classes; thus, there should be greater cooperation among school personnel. The purpose of this qualitative research was to investigate the perception among team members who provided three students with disabilities in a middle school with the team-based support for inclusion during math classes. In order to provide the team-based support for inclusion, a collaborative consultation team consisting of 2 general math teachers, 1 special education teacher, and 2 paraprofessionals was established, and the team-based support for inclusion was implemented through the problem solving process for 16 weeks. The qualitative data collected through participatory observations in this process and in-depth interviews with the team members were analyzed by the constant comparative method. As the result, 4 major themes including the views about the inclusion of students with disabilities in general classes, the disrupting factors of their inclusion, the efforts collaboration for their academic engagement in general classes, and the responses to the problem-solving process, and 12 sub-themes were derived. The results of this study suggest that the collaboration constitutes the main factor for overcoming the limitations of the current inclusive education in a middle school being implemented under the two(general & special) different educational systems, and for the effective fulfillment of integration. Based on the results, future directions were discussed.
