국제물류 환경변화 요인이 공급사슬협업 및 성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 기업경영의 글로벌화에 따른 최근의 국제물류를 둘러싼 환경변화 요인들을 찾아내고, 이러한 요인들이 화주기업과 물류서비스 제공업체간 공급사슬협업에 미치는 영향과 성과를 분석함을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 결과, 기업경영의 글로벌화(조달․생산․판매의 글로벌 네트워크 구축), 소비자 니즈의 고도화․다양화, 제품수요의 불확실성 증대, 환경․안전․보안 관련 규제 강화, 정보통신 기술의 발전과 같은 5가지 환경변화 요인들을 확인할 수 있었으며, 공급사슬협업과 성과와 관련해서는 고객기업에 제공된 서비스 효과성을 나타내는 정성적 성과지표와 운영효율성을 나타내는 재무적 성과지표를 도출하였다. 특히, 공급사슬협업 및 성과와 관련해서는 물류기업의 특성을 잘 반영할 수 있는 사례와 문헌 위주로 선행연구를 실시하였다. 선행연구를 통해 연구모형과 가설을 설정하고, 물류기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후, 통계적 분석기법으로 선행변수인 국제물류 환경변화요인과 종속변수인 성과와의 관계를 검증한 결과, 기업경영의 글로벌화(조달․생산․판매의 글로벌 네트워크 구축), 소비자 니즈의 고도화․다양화, 환경․안전․보안 관련 규제 강화, 정보통신 기술의 발전과 같은 4가지 환경변화 요인들이 정성적 측면과 재무적 측면의 공급사슬성과에 정(+)의 상관관계를 보임을 확인하였다. 따라서 물류기업들은 상기의 4가지 환경변화 요인들을 화주기업과의 공급사슬협업을 강화하기 위한 기회요인으로 인식하고 적극적인 대응전략을 펼칠 필요가 있다. 또한, 물류기업들은 재무적 성과보다 정성적 성과를 더 중요시함을 확인할 수 있었는데, 향후 물류기업의 안정적이고 지속적인 수익성 향상을 꾀하기 위해서는 재무적 성과 관리에 보다 강화된 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This research is aimed at examining how the recent global logistics environmental changes influence supply chain collaboration and its performance between logistics service provider and its customer. Based on preceding studies and the following factor analysis, 5 determinants regarding global logistics environmental change are extracted, which are “business globalization on procurement/manufacturing/distribution”, “escalation/ complexity of end-customer needs”, “increase of demand uncertainty”, “regulation on environment, safety and security”, and “advanced Information- Communication technology”. And also, 2 determinants on supply chain performance through the collaboration between logistics service provider and customer are drawn as follows. One is “qualitative factors” such as delivery reliability, agility responsiveness, and flexibility and the other is “quantitative (or financial) factors” such as total logistics cost reduction, inventory management cost reduction and asset utilization improvement. According to statistical analysis, 4 environmental change factors except “increase of demand uncertainty” show the positive co-relation to both performance determinants, which imply that logistics company need to apply the knowledge in order to enhance supply chain partnership with their customers. In addition, the analysis suggests that logistics company is necessarily required to keep more focus on financial performance rather than qualitative performance in future to secure sustainable profit gains.
