학령기 아동언어장애 진단 및 평가에 관한 질적연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 언어치료현장에서 언어치료전문가 및 특수교사들이 사용하고 있는 진단 및 평가방법과 내용을 조사하여 한국 언어치료교육 현장에 적합한 학령기 아동언어장애 진단 및 평가모델 정립의 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 학령기 아동언어장애 평가 및 치료 경험이 많은 언어치료전문가 5명과 일반학교 특수학급에 근무하는 특수교사 4명을 대상으로 질적연구를 실시하였다. 연구에 참여한 전문가들에게 본 연구자가 개발한 질문지를 사용하여 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 면담자료를 전사한 후 질적분석을 실시한 결과 다음과 같은 3개의 주제가 도출되었다: (1) 학령기 의사소통 능력을 고려한 언어평가, (2) 학교환경을 고려한 언어평가, (3) 협력적 팀 접근을 통한 평가. 본문에서 언어치료전문가 및 특수교사들의 구체적인 면담내용을 제시하였고, 현재 평가과정에서의 문제에 대한 해결책 제시와 장애아동을 위한 바람직한 평가방법 및 내용에 관하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a Korean assessment model for the school-age children with language disorders. Interviews with 5 speech-language pathologists and 4 special educators were conducted and the results of the interviews were transcribed and analyzed by using a qualitative constant-comparative design. Three themes emerged from the qualitative analysis: (1) a communication -based assessment, (2) a school environment-based assessment, and (3) an integrated and collaborative team approach. In addition, 9 subthemes were derived from the 3 main themes. From the first main theme, four subthemes were obtained: the establishment of definition of language disorders of school-age; the development of the norm and criteria of language for school-age children; the development of formal and informal language tests; and a language assessment considering accompanied disorders. The second main theme included three subthemes, that is, curriculum-based assessment, assessment of language use in school, and assessment of language for learning. And finally, two subthemes obtained from the third main theme were a training of specialists and a systematic team approach.
